THE PEDAL PUSHER Official Monthly Publication REDWOOD EMPIRE MODEL T CLUB Happy New Year January 2019 1 of 9

THE PEDAL PUSHER Volume 29. Number 1. Established 1990 January 2019 PRESIDENT S MESSAGE Here it is 2019! I hope everyone had a good holiday season. One of the hardest presidential duties is to write this message every month. I often have grandiose ideas of what I want to say, only to lose them in what used to be my mind. I managed to write down a couple things before they disappeared. I want to thank the club for its generosity. Over the last 13 months, we have donated $4,000 to fire relief. We also made a donation to the Lake County Fire Relief a couple of years ago. The bulk of this money came from our National Tour proceeds, for which, we all worked very hard. We have a Tour Chairman this year, yay! We ve slacked a little on our tours the last year or so but Steve is excited to help us plan some good tours for 2019. Contact Steve if you would like to host a tour or a garage day. Remember you don t have to do everything yourself, working in teams makes for an easier tour for the hosts and a better tour for the club. I am looking forward to the overnighter this year. Mike and Jean have put a lot of effort into making this a memorable tour. See you on tour, Andy CHAPTER INFORMATION The Pedal Pusher is a monthly publication of Redwood Empire Model T Club (REMTC) P.O. IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR TOYS FOR TOTS DONATION On the 11th of December Larry and Andy helped to tote the toys, and Pat delivered a Touring car full of toys to the Forestville Fire Department s Toys for Tots program. Thank you guys for making the delivery! And a big THANK-YOU goes out to the membership of the Redwood Empire Model T Club for their continued generosity! REMTC CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS We all had fun at our Christmas Celebration. Many thanks to Jeannine Clary for all her hard work putting this event together. She made beautiful centerpieces for each table, worked with the folks at Cattlemen s to set-up our menu and led the trivia contest during our evening. The food was tasty. We had our choice of steak, chicken, salmon or ravioli. Lots of salad, bread and beans too. And of course, our Christmas drinks. Thanks to Chris Rich for selecting the delicious cakes. Sorry you weren t here to enjoy them. The Trivia contest was won by Richard DiCarli with nine correct answers out of 12. The questions were all Christmas related and we all had fun participating in the contest. Congrats to Richard. Thanks to the members who brought toys for the Toys for Tots program. The toys were taken to the Forestville Fire Department and will make some children quite happy this Christmas morn. Many pictures were taken throughout the evening and a lot of sharing and laughing by all the club members. There were 49 members who enjoyed this evening. Glad you were all here. Happy New Year to all and I look forward to a fun year of touring. Sandy O Halloran, Outgoing Editor Editor s Note: On behalf of the membership, I want to thank Sandy for writing this article, and for the great job she did as the Newsletter Editor! 6 of 9
