Welcome to What to Expect Each week, campers entering grades 2 and up jump into action, participating in exciting sports programs, exploring nature, becoming involved in performing and creative arts, playing a part in group activities, and attending special events. Our Activity Blocks are sprinkled throughout each week, giving campers fun and variety in their camp day. Our campers expand their horizons, embark on new adventures, and most importantly have fun. Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable! Our camp features a unique selection of indoor and outdoor activities and field trips that take advantage of resources in the local area. Our specialty camps are optional programs, operating during regular camp hours, which provide even more choices for unique and exciting adventures. ACTIVITY BLOCKS Sprinkled throughout each week, Activity Blocks give campers fun and variety in their camp day. Camp Chat Our daily pep rally is a time for campers to gather for songs, chants and challenges that promote collaboration and creativity. On Stage & Behind the Lens Lights! Camera! Action! Welcome to our photo booth, film studio and theater. Campers will write, create, act, video, photograph and everything in-between. Game Station We ll keep campers moving and thinking as they play sports, games and participate in timed challenges on their own and with friends. Food Boss Whether campers dream up their own food truck kitchen, decorate like a cake boss or simply make a yummy summer treat the food possibilities will be endless. Cartoon Nation Campers will explore the exciting world of cartoons and comics. They ll learn about the history of some of their favorites, while also creating and illustrating their own. Dance Craze Don t just stand there bust a move! This summer, we ll cover dance trends throughout the decades, as well as make up a few new trends of our own. Build it Better We re counting on our campers to not only build it, but to build it better than before using Legos, K nex, blocks and other recycled materials. When S.T.E.A.M Collide By participating in exciting S.T.E.A.M. activities, campers will ask questions, design, build, create and maybe spark an idea that will someday change the world. Crack the Code Children will join forces to solve mysteries, complete puzzles and build with limited resources. The suspense will be thrilling! Kids Helping Kids Our campers will pay it forward as they help kids in need by planning a community service event from brainstorm to implementation. Art 360 Art is more than just painting and drawing. We ll provide campers with different mediums and projects to keep the inspiration going all summer long. Trailblazers Campers will have so much fun participating in leadership activities that they won t even realize they re sharpening their communication, confidence and collaboration skills.

SPECIALTY CAMPS Specialty camps are in addition to regular camp tuition. Camps are dependent upon minimum enrollment. Campers may enroll in 1 specialty camp per week. Philadelphia Eagles Football Camp - June 17-21 All programs led by professional coaches. Philadelphia Eagles Alumni Heroes provide supplemental instruction. Camp staff includes an appointed Athletic Trainer or Health Director. Student-to-Instructor ratio is 10:1. Station-based training format divides kids by age and experience level. Register at: http://prosportsexperience.com/eaglescamps/ Junior Chefs - 7/15-7/18, 7/22-7/25 - $120 Get into our Camp Kitchen with Mrs. Shepherd. Our junior chefs will participate in hands-on culinary and pastry classes. Junior chefs will learn real recipes easy enough to duplicate with their family at home. Each week campers will learn and execute a recipe to share with their family. We will also cover nutrition, ingredient information, and food safety. Our camp kitchen experience will expand your child's dining horizons, reinforce math skills and self-esteem, promote teamwork, and even get them to cook for you! Be prepared for some goodies and ready to heat meals coming home with your very own junior chef. Horseback Riding - 6/24-6/27; 7/15-7/18; 7/29-8/1-9:30-11:30am - $150 Campers will get a safe introduction to riding under the watchful eye of the instructors at Sunset Valley Farm in West Chester. Campers will participate in a customized 4 day experience at Sunset Valley which will include lessons on how to care for horses, riding lessons and a craft.
SPECIALTY CAMPS Soccer Camp - June 17-20, June 24-27 - $50 Campers of all ages will learn basic skills such as dribbling/ball control, passing, and shooting. Each camp day, a game will be played related to soccer that develops skills emphasized that day. Older campers will also learn some basic game offensive and defensive strategies. By the end of the week, the younger soccer players will be playing games of soccer while older campers will play in a mini soccer tournament. Basketball Camp - July 8-11, July 15-18 - $50 Campers of all ages will learn basic skills such as dribbling/ball control, passing, and shooting. Each camp day, a game will be played related to basketball that develops skills emphasized that day. Older campers will also learn some basic game offensive and defensive strategies. By the end of the week, the younger basketball players will be playing games of basketball while older campers will play in a mini basketball tournament. Bricks 4 Kidz - July 8-11 - $150 Bricks 4 Kidz - $150 - Bricks 4 Kidz camps are a fresh and fun way for kids ages 5-12yrs to spend their school or holiday break! Guided by our experienced teachers and built around exciting themes like Amusement Parks, Space and Robotics, children will enjoy using LEGO Bricks to build specially-designed Bricks 4 Kidz models, play LEGO games and explore the world of engineering, architecture and animated movie-making.
SPECIALTY CAMPS Hockey Camp - July 22-25, August 5-8 - $50 Campers of all ages will learn basic skills such as stick handling, ball control, passing, and shooting. Each camp day, a game will be played related to hockey that develops skills emphasized that day. Older campers will also learn some basic game offensive and defensive strategies. By the end of the week, the younger hockey players will be playing games of floor hockey while older campers will play in a mini hockey tournament. Gardening Camp -July 22-25 - $90 Campers entering grades 1-3 will work with Ms. Lynch harvesting all of our spring a summer vegetables and creating healthy foods with them. We will also work in the greenhouse and with the raised beds to plant different plants and flowers for our fall garden. Students will also create their own garden crafts and plant their own veggies and flowers to bring home. Chess Camp - August 5-8 - $125 Spend a week playing and learning about chess from the Shining Knights chess coaches! Our coaches have taught tens of thousands of children to play. Many have won state and national championships. Assigned to groups by skill level, classes appeal to total beginners through advanced tournament players. Campers receive t-shirts and tournament-style chess sets. Activities include learning openings, tactics, and end games, studying master games, playing against fellow students and analyzing student games.
