Itinerary Tuesday, June 28, 2016 Check in to Foxwood Casino ~ Great Cedar Hotel Enjoy the day and evening at the resort. The new Tanger Outlets are open so shop till you drop or try lady luck. The time is your to explore. Enjoy you meal vouchers and casino rebates. (Dinner) Wednesday, June 29, 2016 Welcome to Vacationland! Arrive in Kennebunkport by 12:30 for free time for lunch on your own in Dock Square. Then meet your local guide for a narrated tour of Kennebunkport. Drive past the sandy beaches and rocky coastline, past the George Bush estate at Walker s Point, hear the history of these shipbuilding towns and the legend of the Wedding Cake House. You'll also visit the seaside Franciscan Monastery with its beautiful landscaping, outdoor shrines and chapel. Make your way north to Portland for a 4:45 pm buffet dinner before boarding the Nova Star Cruise Ferry to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. A Maine Tour Lobsterette will meet you at the hotel with a souvenir lobster hat for each passenger and will escort you to the ferry terminal on Portland harbor to assist with boarding (6:30pm). Ship staff will do a pre-check of all immigration documents while seated on board the coach. You will board the coach by 7:00 pm. Ship sails at 8:00 pm with your motorcoach on board. Settle in to the comforts of your cozy exterior/water view cabin. Enjoy the lounge, piano bar and full casino on board the Nova Star. Thursday, June 30, 2016 A full buffet breakfast is included in Fathom s dining room at your leisure before disembarking the ship. Turn your watch ahead one hour to 8:00 Atlantic time upon arrival in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. You will re-board the motorcoach on the ship and pass through customs and immigration at the Yarmouth terminal. Then meet your local local, kilted tour guide on board your coach. Your experienced guide stays with you through breakfast in St. John, NB. Travel along Nova Scotia s pristine south shore this morning to Lunenberg, one of Canada s prettiest towns and a World Heritage Site. Visit The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic with time to explore the maritime exhibits at your own pace and have lunch on your own. On your way to Halifax, Nova Scotia s capital city, you ll stop in Mahone Bay for a photo opportunity of the three pretty churches on the harbor. Friday, July 1, 2016 Leave the bustle of the city behind as you travel to the quaint fishing village of Peggy s Cove for breakfast over looking the lighthouse that sits atop wave-worn rocks. The tiny harbor is a masterpiece of seasoned fish sheds and colorful fishing boats, making it one of the most photographed coves in Canada. There will be time to explore on your own before returning to Halifax for an overview tour. You ll hear about the legends and history of the capital port city as you travel through historic neighborhoods, hear tales of the Titanic recovery and the Halifax explosion and make a photo stop atop Citadel Hill. Attend the 2:30 matinee performance of the Royal Nova Scoita International Tattoo an annual event in downtown Halifax during the first week of July. You ll see more than 2,000 of the world s best performers from around the globe for a 2.5 hour entertainment extravaganza: pipes and drums, military bands, historical re-enactments, dancers, acrobats, choirs, drama and comedy at the air-conditioned, downtown arena. This magnificent highway is carved into the sides of mountains that rise high above the shimmering waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Lookoffs offer unforgettable vistas of Cape Breton s rugged coastline, where pods of whales can often be seen just offshore and bald eagles soar aloft on the ocean breezes. You ll enjoy a picnic lunch in a covered pavilion inside the park and end the day s tour with some free time in Cheticamp, a charming village known for its Acadia crafts. (Breakfast & Dinner & Theater) Tuesday, July 5, 2016 Travel the land route across the Confederation Bridge the world s largest he longest multi-span bridge in the world (9 miles long) that separates PEI from the province of New Brunswick. Continue your tour along the coastal route through the Bay of Fundy National Park. You ll stop to see Hopewell Rocks where the high tides have carved flower pots from the rocks and if the tide is low, you ll be able to walk along the ocean floor. Tour the highlights of the Loyalist City of Saint John including a photo stop at Reversing Falls Rapids where the river appears to flow up-stream. Travel into Northern Maine over to Lubec, where you ll cross the Roosevelt International Bridge to the island of Campobello.
