Managers Update I can t wait to welcome you all to Cornwall this Summer, it s all about those making the most of those important things like relaxing, family, quality time, making friends and generally unwinding and having fun whenever you like, all by the stunning coast. Spring has proved to be a very busy time for us here, not only preparing everything for Summer, and the many improvements around park but all departments have had great compliments from you and I appreciate this; and we have seen busier than normal activity, so thank you again. it s all going to fun packed, and I ve booked stunning weather for us all summer too! Pop in and have a chat about anything or just grab a nice cuppa with all the guys, let s all make 2017 the best ever year here. Jeremy Welcome our new Wardens, Tracy & Ali Swimming Pool Activities From 31st May, every Wednesday, meeting at 5.30pm SCUBA Diving will take place in the pool, please sign up in reception. This is a great taster to the experience of diving run by the experts at Ocean Sports and costs 15 per person (includes photo). Try-a-dive involves a brief beforehand about the kit to be used and how it works and what we will be doing. Afterwards we will be under the water for around 15 minutes. A free under water photo is available after dive; this is a wonderful way to find out what it s like to be immersed under the water for a period in a relatively safe environment. Swimming Pool This is now opening from 9am 6pm The first hour every morning 9am 10am will be an adults swim only. Your Safety is paramount to us here at Seaview and the Pool Rules are simply explained Children UNDER 8 MUST be ONE TO ONE supervision IN THE WATER Children 8-16 MUST be supervised ONE TO TWO in the water or poolside. Please ensure you SIGN IN & OUT at reception the door code will change daily. Swimming pool rules are there to maintain the safety levels for everyone s enjoyment, please ensure these are observed always to avoid embarrassment. Locally Swimming Pool Seating Areas All the tiers above the pool level are viewing and siting areas to enjoy the views and surroundings, this area cannot be used as supervising area. Please also note that only food and drink purchased from the shop can be taken in only non-breakable items can be used. Dogs are allowed in these areas and must be kept on a short lead. Do not enter the poolside areas unless you are swimming or supervising. Tracy has worked most of her career in social care and customer service; Ali, originally from Turkey worked in engineering and electronics, they both find Cornwall a place of stunning beauty and just love living on the park in the wardens holiday home (now located behind reception). Both will be looking after all our the facilities on the park, and will also be on call in the case of an emergency, so please stop and say hello if you see them around park. We are committed to helping the local community with one aim, to improve the area for all to enjoy. We have renewed our commitment to sponsor Gorran AFC Football Team and we also sponsor the public toilets at Gorran Haven. The entry cost to the pool is also donated to a local charity People and Gardens who work from Pentewan. Nature Walks During the summer months (July & August) every Saturday afternoon, for the children, there will be a nature walk around the park, this will include an information pack and a drawing/ colouring competition. New name on the horizon! We are going to start and introduce a new name for the park, this will be a subtle change, by replacing International with Gorran Haven to form Seaview Gorran Haven. The past owners wanted to attract visitors from overseas and simply changed the name to make this very clear to our friends on the continent they were very welcome. From the top of the swimming pool you can observe Dodmans Point Headland, this is the highest point in South Cornwall and home for the large stone cross; there are remains there from the Iron Age. 1.
