DIRECTOR S MESSAGE Bismillah, The Year 12 High Achievers Awards has returned with newer and bigger targets in sight. Over the years we have been able to celebrate hundreds of high achieving students all over Australia whom have now progressed further into society whether it be at their respective universities or other occupations. The sole purpose of the awards is to celebrate the amazing achievement of students; that is attaining an ATAR of 90+. This is backed by ensuring that we empower these students to become positive contributors in the community in the best manner possible. Human Appeal Australia is proud of these awards and even prouder of these students whom achieved high academic results. Education is a priority within our charitable portfolio and we will continue to make it so; by always working with our community on the road to goodness. A word by Bashar Al-Jamal 4
Now, it is an event which many look forward to; it is a platform to connect students with community leaders, a bridge for students to access the Human Appeal Alumni network and ultimately a means for those invested in the youth to sponsor the event. What are we about? We are about the future. The generations to come. And the legacies we leave behind as Muslims. The sheer growth of outstanding students, is a great impetus for reaching out to sponsors. Every student is presented with a certificate and gift and local sponsors have the unique opportunity to congratulate students on their achievements. Since the first Year 12 Muslim Achievement Awards was held in Melbourne in 2007, we have expanded to accommodate a growing number of Muslim students across Australia in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and most recently Perth. Last year, 249 Yr 12 students, 60 more than the previous year were awarded for high achievements. This is a great reflection of the youth excelling year after year. This will be our 12th year hosting the annual Year 12 Muslim Achievement Awards in March 2019 and we d like you to join us in the celebration of our youth. Our Motivation At Human Appeal, we believe we have a social responsibility to support our youth. It is our duty as the adults to look ahead and open up opportunities for the generation that will eventually take our place. We have successfully run the event for over a decade honouring more than a thousand Muslim students in the time, seeing students return to give thanks for the opportunities we have been able to provide them with. Year 12 Muslim Achievement Award recipients in Sydney 2018 In March 2019, Human Appeal will host the Yr 12 Muslim Achievement Awards to congratulate the ever-growing number of students excelling. Sponsorship Agreement Human Appeal Australia is currently accepting sponsorships for the Yr 12 Muslim Achievement Awards in March 2019. You can secure a position by completing and signing the agreement below and submitting it directly to your local state office, or via email: info@humanappeal.org.au.
