The PE Department will be organizing a 3 days 2 night residential Outdoor Adventure Camp for your child/ward from 5 to 7 March 2018 at the FOCUS Adventure Learning Facility, Sentosa. The outdoor adventure camp activities will be facilitated by your child/ward s form teachers and MOE certified instructors and trainers. 2. The objectives of the camp are to: foster team spirit and class bonding among students and teachers; expose students to a wide range of sporting and adventurous activities so as to build on their resilience, confidence and leadership and inculcate the value of teamwork and cooperation among the students. 3. The cost for students: Total Cost Per Student School subsidy Amount Payable After School Subsidy Camp Fee $169.00 $99.00 $70.00 Transport to and from the Camp Site $2.00 - $2.00 Total Amount Payable: $72.00 If your child/ward is a Singapore Citizen, payment will be deducted from his/her Edusave account. Payment for both the camp fee and transport cost will be non-refundable. 4. Please complete and submit the Reply Slip and payment, where applicable, to your child/ward s Form Teacher by Thursday, 1 February 2018. All P5 students are required to participate in the camp unless your child/ward is certified medically unfit to attend the camp. A formal written request for exemption is required and has to be submitted to the Form Teacher by Thursday, 1 February 2018. 5. Further details regarding the camp can be found attached in Annex A and will be communicated to your child/ward during the camp briefing. Information on the P5 camp is as follows: 1. Venue Annex A Dormitories are located within the campsite where all students and teachers will be housed overnight. 2. Emergency Contact Details To minimize disruption to the programme, all personal calls to the students will not be entertained unless they are of utmost urgency. Parents/guradians can contact the school general office or the school phone as listed in case of emergency. Students who are unwell A medical certificate or doctor s letter is required to validate a student s absence from the camp as the camp takes place during school term. If your child/ward is not feeling well on the day of the camp i.e. 5 March 2018, he/she should rest at home. Please contact the School General Office before 7.30 a.m. and submit the medical certificate to the form teacher when he/she returns back to school. If your child/ward falls sick during the camp, he/she will be assessed by the certified medical officer on his/her condition. For the safety of other students, your child/ward may be isolated from the group to prevent spreading of his/her illness. A teacher will be deployed to take care of your child/ward and you will be contacted on your child/ward s situation. 6.
