Introduction What s New in this Release? Welcome to MYOB EXO OnTheGo! This release introduces support for activities, and the ability to generate Sales Orders and Debtor Invoices from within the OnTheGo app. The Stock and Company sections have also been updated to include new features and improvements to the user experience. The purpose of this document is to provide essential information on the installation and use of this release: The Installation section provides an overview of the installation process, including pre-installation requirements. The New Features section describes all new features introduced in this release. The Resolved Issues section describes all issues that have been addressed by this release. Installation Pre-Install Requirements The MYOB EXO OnTheGo app supports ios 7.0 or later, and can be installed on any tablet device that runs ios 7.0. This includes: ipad 2 ipad (3 rd generation) ipad (4 th generation) ipad Mini ipad Mini 2 ipad Air Installing the EXO API The EXO OnTheGo app communicates with EXO Business via the EXO API. To run this version of the app, you must be using EXO API version 1.2 or later. To use the EXO OnTheGo app, you must use the EXO Business Services Setup Wizard to install the EXO API services, and then set up a Live Relay Service connection to your EXO Business database. See the MYOB EXO Business Services Release Notes document for information on installing and setting up the EXO API and services. The EXO API and the EXO OnTheGo app support EXO Business 8.4 or later. Installing EXO OnTheGo Download and install EXO OnTheGo as you would any ios app. To download the EXO OnTheGo app, search the App Store for MYOB EXO or click on this link: EXO OnTheGo in the App Store MYOB EXO OnTheGo 1.2 Release Notes Page 2 of 10
New Features This release adds the following new features to the EXO OnTheGo app. Supported EXO Business Versions Previous versions of the EXO OnTheGo app supported EXO Business 8.3 and later. As of this release, EXO Business 8.4 and later are supported. The features added in this release require version 1.2 of the EXO API if you are using an earlier version of the API, the new features will not appear in the app. Activities EXO OnTheGo now supports the activities functionality available in the EXO Business system. The new Activities section displays a list of activities (tasks and appointments) with all of the ordering and filtering options standard on EXO OnTheGo screens: An Activities tab is now available when viewing company and order records, showing all activities related to the selected company or order. New activities can be created from the Activities screen, from an Activities tab or from the quick add menu: Selecting an existing activity displays all of that activity s details, and gives you the option of editing any of them: MYOB EXO OnTheGo 1.2 Release Notes Page 4 of 10
Check In Alerts The check in feature for companies has been updated; when checking in to a company, you now have the option of creating a history note or an activity related to the company. A new Check In Mode option in the app settings lets you choose to create a note or an activity by default, or to prompt the user to choose each time they check in. Sales Orders and Invoices The EXO OnTheGo app now lets you email and print customer invoices and sales orders from within the app. Customer invoices are generated by tapping the new export icon when viewing an invoice: MYOB EXO OnTheGo 1.2 Release Notes Page 5 of 10
Similarly, sales quotes and orders are generated by tapping the export icon at the top of the order: In both cases, the document is generated as PDF file, which can be then be sent to a customer using the standard ios sharing options (messaging, email, etc). Note: The documents are generated using the Invoice.clf and SalesOrd.clf Clarity forms. The system supports the use of multiple Debtor invoice forms (Invoice1.clf, Invoice2.clf, etc.) as specified by each Debtor account s Invoice file field in EXO Business. Updates to Companies Account Warnings Customer warnings and alerts from EXO Business now show when opening companies and sales orders: MYOB EXO OnTheGo 1.2 Release Notes Page 6 of 10
Balances and Turnover When viewing company details, the company s balances and turnover history are now displayed in a new Balances and Turnover section: Company Invoices When viewing a company s invoices the new Trans date column shows the transaction date of each invoice: MYOB EXO OnTheGo 1.2 Release Notes Page 7 of 10
Updates to Stock Sale Prices When viewing a stock item, all of the item s sale prices are now displayed in a new Sale Prices section: Stock Levels The stock levels that are displayed when the View by Location link is tapped now show additional information including free stock, committed, on purchase etc: EXO OnTheGo now uses the Show empty stock locations on stock screen profile setting in EXO Business. When this setting is enabled, stock locations where all stock values are zero will not be displayed. MYOB EXO OnTheGo 1.2 Release Notes Page 8 of 10
Restricted Stock The EXO OnTheGo app now uses the restricted stock settings defined in EXO Business. Restricted stock items no longer appear when searching for stock in the EXO OnTheGo app, and Sales Orders cannot be saved if they contain restricted stock items. Updates to Orders When creating or editing an order, the back order quantities are now set based on your EXO Business configuration. MYOB EXO OnTheGo 1.2 Release Notes Page 9 of 10
Resolved Issues This release address the following issues in the EXO OnTheGo app: The LOAD MORE option on search screens did not show when a specific search key was used. After loading more search results with the LOAD MORE option, sorting controls did not work. To improve performance, the app no longer pre-loads records on search screens. Sorting search results now refreshes the results before applying the sort. Searches now respect the custom SQL filter user profiles configured in EXO Business.
