Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 05/01/2016 4:37am 26000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial Food/ Restaurant) No forced entry. Officers responded to alarm at restaurant Officers arrived on scene and observed a female inside the business sitting in a booth talking on her cell phone. The business appeared to be closed and there were no lights on inside the restaurant. Officers attempted to enter business but the doors were locked. Officers knocked on the windows and the female ignored Officers? Officers were able to gain entry into business and located and spoke to the female inside. The female was highly intoxicated and stated she was dropped off at location to go to the bathroom. Victim states the restaurant was open for business and there were several employees inside the business when she went to the bathroom. When she came out of the bathroom everyone was gone. The restaurant had been closed for several hours and the female made no attempts to leave the restaurant. The subject was taken into custody for Entering w/o Permission. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 04/26/2016 7:00am To: 04/26/2016 3:00pm 19000 W Nine Mile Rd. Front door kicked was in. Victim stated that she left her home at approx. 7:00am. Victim stated that her son arrived home around 3:00pm and found the front door kicked in. The door jamb was broken, but the door was not standing open. Victim checked the interior and nothing appeared to be out of place or missing. Entry would have been possible. Unknown suspect(s) possibly were scared off before entering the home.

05/01/2016 7:23pm 20000 Indian St. Verizon Wi-Fi Jet Pack and a speaker were taken. Tips: Let trusted neighbors know if you are not going to be at home Be cautious about who you let in your home for service and repairs Contact the Southfield Police Crime Prevention Bureau for a free home security inspection (248) 796-5409 Victim states he left residence at 5:10pm and returned to residence at 5:20pm. After returning victim discovered his Verizon Wi-Fi Jet Pack and a speaker were missing from his bedroom. A short time later possible suspect (former tenant) entered residence and stated "I know who broke into your room!" Subject then ran down the hall and grabbed his own cell phone from victim s room. Subject stated "I am going to go chase them!" Victim wanted to go with subject but former tenant stated no they have guns Victim states he hasn t seen this subject in two weeks and he doesn t live there anymore. It appears that this subject is the suspect and he must have dropped his cell phone during the incident. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.

Status SR - Both Stolen And Recovered Manufacturer FORD Model MUSTANG Color RED - Red Vehicle Year 2016 Body Style State MI License Year Description 2016 FORD MUSTANG Recovered Date/Time 04/28/2016 11:41pm Victim stated he met subject at a bar in Royal Oak. Victim rented a 2016 Ford Mustang. Victim was driving with subject he met at bar doing some errands and stopped off at his parents home in the 27000 Block of Arlington in Southfield. Victim went inside leaving subject in the car with the keys. He returned about 10 minutes later and discovered subject and the vehicle gone. Vehicle was recovered in Detroit by MSP. Vehicle was occupied by two subjects that were taken into custody. 04/28/2016 3:32pm 29310 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial Vehicle Leasing) Status R Recovered Stolen Manufacturer FORD Model FOCUS Color GRY - Gray Vehicle Year 2015 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2016 Description 2015 GRAY FORD FOCUS Suspect Lessee advised Leasing Company that she had loaned the vehicle to a friend who was then later Car Jacked in Detroit on 04/26/2016. Lessee then reported car stolen to Detroit PD. On 04/28/2016, lessee returned the vehicle to Leasing Company without any explanation on how she got the vehicle back. Lessee was uncooperative and would not give any information on how she obtained the keys or the vehicle. Incident is under investigation.

From: 04/28/2016 11:00pm To: 04/29/2016 7:30am From: 04/26/2016 6:00am To: 04/26/2016 6:15am 16000 North Park Dr. (Residential- Apartments) 19000 Dorset St. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAILBLAZER Color MAR - Maroon or Burgundy 2006 SW - Station Wagon MI 2016 Description 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER Status A Attacked- Attempt Only. Manufacturer DODGE Model CHARGER Description 2013 RED DODGE CHARGER Notes Right rear window completely smashed in. Right front window busted. Victim stated she last seen her vehicle at approx. 11:00pm on 04/28/2016. The vehicle was parked and locked in the parking lot of victims Apartment Complex in the 16000 Block of North Park Dr. The following morning at approx. 7:30am victim went out to her vehicle and noticed it was gone. Victim states he heard a loud banging noise at 6:00am. Victim went out to his vehicle at 6:15am and discovered his right rear window and right front window smashed out. Further investigation revealed that the gear shifter was also damaged. Appears to be an attempt to take vehicle.

Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details From: 04/25/2016 10:00pm To: 04/26/2016 7:00am 23000 Providence Dr. Keyboard, Watch, Car Seat, Jewelry, and Glasses were taken from victims 2005 Chrysler. Victim states sometime between 10:00pm and the following morning at 7:00am someone broke out window on vehicle and took several items from the interior of the vehicle. From: 04/27/2016 8:20am To: 04/27/2016 9:15am 27000 Franklin Rd. (Commercial- Office) Navigation System and a Jump Box were taken from victims 2007 Chevy K-15. Victim states several items were stolen out of her vehicle on Wednesday April 27, 2016 between 8:20am & 9:15am. Entry was gained by breaking a rear passenger side window. No suspect information.

From: 04/28/2016 1:00am To: 04/28/2016 7:30am 24000 Templar Ave Cash & Cell Phone were taken from 2002 GMC Envoy. Victim states several items were stolen out of her vehicle on Thursday April 28, 2016 sometime between 1:00am & 7:30am. Entry was gained by forcing down a partially open rear passenger door window. No suspect information. From: 04/28/2016 1:00am To: 04/28/2016 7:30am 24000 Templar 1-Pair of Boots and a Wallet were taken from 2003 Ford Ranger. Contents in wallet: Cash, Credit Cards, Social Security Card, & Gun Registration. Victim states items were stolen out of his vehicle on Thursday April 28, 2016 sometime between 1:00am & 7:30am. Entry was gained by forcing the rear sliding window open. No suspect information. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 04/26/2016 1:30am 25000 Greenfield Rd. (Residential Apartments) Cash was taken from victim. Officers were dispatch to the 16000 Block of Bedford at approx. 3:50am on a report of an Armed Robbery. Victim stated he was staying at the Apartment Complex in the 25000 Block of Greenfield Rd gambling with people he knew. Victim left Apartment Complex at approximately 1:30am to walk home. He was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of Apartment Complex. The subject that robbed him was somebody he has seen in the past. Victim didn t know the individuals name. Victim identified the man as a b/m, in his late 20 s, 5-9, 180 pounds, short hair, and clean shaven. Victim states the suspect asked him for change in the parking lot. When victim took out his money the suspect pulled out a Handgun and robbed him of his money. The suspect left in an unknown direction. Suspect Description: Last Name SUSPECT First Name UNKNOWN DOB (Age) 29 Sex M Race BLACK Hair Color Black Hair Length

Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: Threats/ Harassment. 04/27/2016 3:52pm 24000 Garner St. (Private School) Officials at the school reported that a parent came into the school causing a disturbance regarding his child failing a class. When asked to step into an office to contain the disturbance the parent threatened the staff. The parent was gone upon Officers arrival. The parent has been identified and incident is under investigation. Obstruct Officer/ Felony Warrant- 1- Arrest 04/26/2016 4:43pm W Eight Mile Rd. & Northland Dr. Officers stopped vehicle for traffic violations. The passenger in the vehicle gave Officers false information about his identity. Officers were able to pull up a picture of subject with his true identity. It was likely that the passenger gave Officers false information about his identity because he had several warrants including a Felony Warrant for Aggravated Assault out of another jurisdiction. Suspect was taken into custody for Obstructing Police.

Reckless Discharge of a Firearm/ MDOP/ Minor Consuming Alcohol- 1- Arrest 04/28/2016 12:58am 25000 Block of Evergreen Rd. (Commercial New Construction) Officers were dispatched to the area on report of numerous gunshots being heard in the area. Officers while conducting an area check located a door window that appeared to have been broken out to the rear of building under construction in the 25000 Block of Evergreen Rd. While investigating, Officers observed a subject inside the building. Officers detained suspect. K-9 Officer and other Officers conducted a search of the building. During the search, a shotgun was located in a room on the second floor. Officers recovered ammunition from suspect s pocket. Suspect was dressed in his pajamas with flip flops on his feet. Suspect was not a construction worker nor did he have any business in the building. The suspect told Officers that there was a shot gun that he left inside the building on the second floor. There were also obvious signs of buck shot on the wall adjacent to the broken out window. The suspect told Officers that he lived in the area, he was taking medication for anxiety, and he had consumed several alcoholic beverages. Suspect was under the age of 21. Suspect was taken into custody for MDOP, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Minor Consuming Alcohol.

Larceny by False Pretenses/ Identity Theft- 2- Arrests 04/27/2016 4:04pm 28000 Block of Telegraph Rd. (Car Dealership) Southfield Detectives were contacted by another jurisdiction Police Department that they were working on an identity theft complaint. The complainant reported that someone unknown to him has been using his personal information, to include his social security number, to make fraudulent purchases. Additional information was this person had completed paperwork to purchase a vehicle at a Car Dealership in Southfield. Southfield Police Detectives contacted the dealership and confirmed that unknown person using victim s identity had filled out a credit application to purchase vehicle and they were just waiting for credit approval and for person to come in and pick up the vehicle. The suspect had sent a Michigan Driver s License to the Dealership. The Driver s License had victim s identification on it with another person s picture on it. The manager from dealership met with the B/M suspect who identified himself as the victim. (Victim of identity theft was a W/M.) He was accompanied by a B/F. The couple posed as being married. The picture on the Driver s License that was provided earlier was that of the B/M suspect. The couple was directed to the financial department to complete the financing of the vehicle they were about to purchase. After all of the paper work was completed and signed by suspect the couples were arrested by Southfield Police Detectives for Larceny by False Pretenses.

OWI III / Leaving the Scene of Injury Accident- 1- Arrest 10 Mile Rd./ Santa Barbara 5:35pm Officer located a vehicle that fled the scene of an injury accident. Officer stopped the vehicle at Evergreen & Hilton and made contact with the driver. Officer suspected that the driver was intoxicated and an OWI investigation was conducted. The subject was arrested for OWI 3 rd Offense & Leaving the Scene of Injury Accident.
