Day 3 Saturday, June 24 th 2017 St. Petersburg Breakfast in the hotel 10:00 Tour of the Church on the Spilled Blood with 7000 sq.m. of glass mosaics and the amazing Alexander Nevsky Necropolis The necropolis contains the graves of famous composers Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Modest Mussorgsky, and Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov, the writer Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and numerous other luminaries. 1:00 Lunch in Le Boat restaurant or similar 3:00 Board our river boat THE VICTORIA Cruise begins
Day 4 Sunday, 25 th June 2017 St. Petersburg Enjoy both a panoramic city tour and a walking tour of enchanting St. Petersburg, taking in majestic sites such as Nevsky Prospect, the Winter Palace and Palace Square, the Church of the Resurrection, and St. Issac s, followed by a cruise along the city s luminous canals. Later, you'll be treated to a spectacular Russian ballet performance at the Alexandrinsky Theatre. This evening, enjoy a Captain's Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner. Note: Throughout your visit to St. Petersburg, the sightseeing is subject to change, depending on closures for holidays or unannounced government functions.
Day 5 Monday 26 th June 2017 St. Petersburg Today we will visit the world-famous Hermitage Museum which features nearly three million works of art, including works by Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo.
Day 6 Tuesday 27 th June 2017 Pushkin Travel south to nearby PUSHKIN to visit the lavish Catherine Palace and Park, a masterpiece of Russian rococo architecture that is unrivaled in luxury and scale.
Day 7 Wednesday 28 th June 2017 And we re off - cruising east along the Neva River, crossing LAKE LADOGA, and then visiting the little Mandrogi Village on the Svir River Today we will visit the reconstructed 18th-century village of MANDROGI, home to craftspeople who bring Russia s past vibrantly to life, and cap off the afternoon with a traditional shashlik picnic.
Day 8 Thursday, 29 th June 2017 Today we will cruise up LAKE ONEGA to visit KIZHI ISLAND and visit its famous open-air museum, (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), featuring the awe-inspiring Transfiguration Church, constructed entirely of wood without the use of a single nail.
Day 9 Friday, 30 th June 2017 Goritsy and Kirillov Today we will cross from the Baltic watershed to the Volga River drainage basin and cruise south to the small village of GORITSY, where we will watch school children perform dances or sketches at the House of Children s Arts and Crafts, and stop by the Wood Restoration Center to see demonstrations of traditional woodworking methods. Later, we will transfer to nearby KIRILLOV to see the massive 14th-century St. Cyril of the White Lake Monastery.

Day 10 Saturday, 1 st July, 2017 Continuing to cruise south, we will cross the Lake Rybinsk Reservoir, then go down the Volga River to visit Yaroslavl YAROSLAVL, the Heart of the Golden Ring, is considered one of Russia s most beautiful cities. We ll visit the town s exquisite Church of Elijah the Prophet and delight in a tasting of local produce at the farmers market.
Day 11 Sunday 2 nd July 2107 Uglich We will retrace our path up the Volga and then turn left, down the upper Volga. We will visit the Church of St. Dmitry on the Blood, (familiar to all who know their BORIS GODUNOV) built to honor the slain son of Ivan the Terrible, and spend some free time browsing the local markets in UGLICH.
Day 12 Monday, 3 rd July MOSCOW Today, we arrive in Moscow. Our panoramic city tour includes the most remarkable city sites, such as Red Square, St. Basil s Cathedral, Novodevichy (New Maiden) Convent, and impressive Tverskaya Street.
Day 13 Tuesday 4 th July 2017 MOSCOW 10:00 Transfer from the River Port to the Center of Moscow 11:00 Tour of The Tretyakov Gallery 1:30 Lunch in the Non-Existent Country restaurant near the Bolshoi Theatre 4.00 Return to the ship Bolshoi Theatre play bill for July will appear sometime in April-May 2017, so if there is an opera, (very good chance), it will be included.
Day 14 Wednesday 5 th July MOSCOW Visit the Kremlin, a self-contained 15th-century city with palaces, armories, 15th- and 17th-century cathedrals, and a medieval fortress. We ll also explore the Kremlin s Armory Museum and its many treasures, ranging from the czars coronation robes to the famous Fabergé eggs. Following lunch downtown, take a tour of Moscow s metro system famous for its palatial décor before visiting Arbat Street, longtime hangout for intellectuals and dissidents. Enjoy some free time on your own; shuttle bus service will be provided between the ship and city center. In the evening, enjoy a Captain s Farewell Reception and Gala Dinner. Day 15 Thursday 6 th July Depart Moscow Disembark the ship and transfer to the Moscow Airport for your flight home.
