Board the Sky Tram for the 15-minute aerial ride through the rainforest and take in magnificent views of the volcano and the Arenal Lake. Embark on one of Costa Rica s top canopy adventures as you glide down 7 zip lines for a total of over 2 miles of cables. You will then enjoy the Sky Walk Tour which is a hanging bridges tour through the rainforest.

Arenal Volcano National Park Hike 6 Includes: Bilingual naturalist guide, transportation, park entrance fee and water. Difficulty Level: Easy What to bring: Comfortable clothing, hiking boots or tennis shoes, binoculars, camera, sunscreen lotion, insect repellent and rain gear. The Arenal Volcano National Park Guided Hike begins with a hike on the Toucans Trail located on the western side of the volcano. It is possible to observe a great variety of plants, wildlife and magnificent lava rock formations. Enjoy the history of the Arenal Volcano (lava has not been seen in a few years, so do not expect to see any on the visit).

This tour takes place on a 600 acre reserve filled with lush vegetation and a variety of birds and animals which your experienced guide will help you spot. The trail itself is 1.9 miles (3.1 km) in length, crossing nine fixed bridges and 6 suspension bridges and is laid out at a maximum grade of 7 degrees so that anyone can walk it.
Canopy & Tarzan Swing 8 Includes: Transportation and water. Difficulty Level: Medium What to bring: Long pants, closed toed shoes or hiking boots. We suggest you use a sun block and insect repellent. The canopy tour consists of 13 cables and 15 platforms which are divided into three sections that are found mostly in the trees in the middle of the rainforest. As a option, swing away like Tarzan does in the movie.
Rafting Class II-III 9 Duration: Full Day Includes: Transportation, professional bilingual guides, snacks, water, and lunch. Difficulty Level: Medium What to bring: Clothes to get wet in, bathing suit, secure shoes (sports sandals and water shoes are best), towel, sunscreen and dry clothes for after the trip. From here, you will contemplate the 230 foot waterfalls. Then, begin the hike down to the trail (and many steps) through the rain forest until you reach the cascading pool. Enjoy a quick swim and the beauty of the Park. Save some energy, because once the visit is complete, you will have to hike up the many steps again.

Caño Negro by Boat 13 Duration: Full Day Includes: Bilingual naturalist guide, transportation, picnic lunch and water. Difficulty Level: Easy What to bring: Comfortable clothing, sandals or tennis shoes, binoculars, camera, sunscreen lotion and insect repellent. This area is considered to be one of the best sites on the continent for bird watching. In addition to an abundance of birds, Caño Negro is also home to myriad other animals, such as sloths, three types of monkeys, caimans, lizards, bats, and a variety of flora native of the wetlands.
Safari Float Peñas Blancas 14 Includes: Bilingual naturalist guide, transportation, lifejacket, water and fruits. Experience the peacefulness of the forest traveling on the Peñas Blancas river. Observe many animals like: monkeys, sloths, iguanas, tortoises, crocodiles, and several types of birds. For those who don t mind getting wet and muddy, this fascinating underground adventure will take you through a labyrinth of passages and chambers in which you will see an interesting rock formation called, La Papaya, stalactites, stalagmites, bats, spiders and proof that the caves were at one time at the bottom of the ocean.
Night Natural Experience 16 Includes: Transportation, guides, entrance fee and water. Difficulty Level: Easy What to bring: Hiking boots, insect repellent and long pants. The night walk takes place at the Ecocentro Danaus or EcoCentro Oasis, small reserves whose focus is conservation and education. A visit to the center at night will allow you the opportunity to observe some of the more prominent nocturnal fauna in action, such as sloths, caimans, spiders, frogs, bats, butterflies and birds. You will also learn the way these species interact with each other.

Visit up to three Maleku communities (El Sol, Margarita and Tonjibe). At the Tonjibe community visit and interact with a local indigenous family. Difficulty Level: Hard What to bring: Hiking shoes, binoculars, camera, sun block, and hat. The tour begins with a hike through the primary forest in the Tenorio Volcano National Park. Alongside the forested trails, you will be able to spot a variety of plant and animal species. You will continue walking until you reach an impressive waterfall and the light blue colored waters of the river.
Combination Tour / Tabacon 22 Duration: Full Day Includes: Hanging Bridges, Waterfall, Arenal National Park Hike, Hot Springs, lunch & Dinner. Difficulty Level: Medium What to bring: Comfortable clothes, hiking shoes, camera, swimsuit and sandals. You will start the tour visiting the hanging bridges. It consists of a hike on a 1.9 mile (3.1 km) trail on which you can enjoy the rainforests flora and fauna. The trail crosses nine fixed bridges and six suspension bridges and is laid out at a maximum grade of seven degrees so that anyone can walk it. Our next stop is the La Fortuna Waterfall. From the trailhead you will hike approximately 15 minutes before reaching this majestic waterfall where you can swim or just enjoy its beauty. Lunch is next and Arenal Vida Campesina is the place. Following lunch you ll have the opportunity to rest before embarking on the volcano hike. You will enjoy a very educative walk, the naturalist guide will introduce you to the geological formation of the area and the regeneration of flora since the last volcano eruption. As an additional you may have the choice of a relaxing dip in the world-famous Hot Springs followed by a buffet dinner at Tabacon Hot Springs.

River Drift 26 Includes: Equipment, bilingual guide, transportation from Fortuna hotels. Difficulty Level: Hard What to bring: Comfortable shoes, comfortable clothes, extra clothes. The tour is a journey into the rainforest of Arenal, which includes three canopy cables, a controlled 147ft high fall and a path along the river for more than 3 miles in personal tubing. The tour takes 2 hours and 45 minutes approximately, the cables ride is around 1 km and the path between them is 300 meters long, at the end of the cable segment, you get to a platform in a tree where the controlled high fall descends to the river, once in the water, each one takes their tubing and is carried away by the river current. Taking advantage of the scenic beauty that surrounds us, and the characteristics of the river, the perfect blend is achieved to provide a unique, different, forceful and dynamic activity.

You ll get over 2 hours of paddling with more than 20 continuous, class III & IV rapids along more than 10 kms of lush, vibrant Costa Rica rainforest. Your professional rafting guides will give you a thorough safety talk, get you set up with our top-quality adventure gear such as your Pro-Tec helmet, NRS life jacket and paddle and then you re off. You ll be paddling for more than 2 hours! Make your way through exciting rapids like The Pipeline, The Terminator, and Dos Locos. We ll stop along the way for a refreshing, tropical fruit break. After your Arenal rafting trip, we take you out for a typical Costa Rican lunch.
Tour & Volunteering 28 Includes: Snacks, entrance fee. Difficulty Level: Easy What to bring: Comfortable clothes. The daily activity will allow you to not only be close to the animals, but also help in their rehabilitation. The tour has two schedules: 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and starts with an introduction to the rescue center. Then you will walk the trails of the reserve, stopping at each of the different animals to learn more about them. After a snack, you will have the opportunity to volunteer to work directly with the animals and tend to their care.
Campesino Farm Tour 29 Includes: Transportation to and from your hotel in air conditioned minivan with Wi-Fi, bilingual naturalist guide, farm entrance fee, bottled mineral water, snacks, traditional Costa Rican lunch, and insure policy. After a short 35 minute drive, we will arrive at the incredible area designated for reforestation that lays beside the Mendez Family farm, in La Tigra, San Carlos, near the mountains of the Children s Eternal Rainforest, which is registered as the largest private reserve in Central America. Here, we will walk a short trail to observe the rainforest of the region and in hopes of discovering tinamu, anteaters, coatis, morpho butterflies, several species of birds, and much more. Afterwards we will continue on to visit the farmed portion of the land, where we will meet the family and learn about their lifestyle, customs, traditions, and farming method. We will visit their black pepper, vanilla, yucca, coffee, banana, corn, and other plantations which are traditional to the region. Finally, we will enjoy a delicious authentic Costa Rican lunch, prepared on a wood-burning stove, with some of the finest organic products cultivated on the farm. After lunch, we will head back to La Fortuna.

Sky Limit is a high performance circuit that combines a high ropes course, zip lines, canyoning, rappel, Tarzan swing, bridges and many challenging activities in the heart of the rainforest. Sky Limit begins with an ascent in our aerial tram Sky Tram, to then start a circuit that can also serve for competition consisting of twin zip lines, and other defiant challenges as it is walking a tightrope, descending a ladder hanging on trees and other activities in which you will need all your skills and insticts.
