Picnic Areas The City of Swan has many attractions including: Areas of historic importance The Avon/Helena/Swan River system Natural bush settings Parks and reserves with excellent facilities This brochure describes some of the selected spots within the City for picnics, day trips and information on park weddings. For more information regarding planning your park wedding please contact Leisure Services on 9267 9321. The City also has smaller local parks in almost every suburb, most with playgrounds and other facilities. You can find a selection of these smaller parks in this brochure listed under their ward. For more information please telephone the City of Swan Administration Centre on 9267 9267. Supplementing the information in the brochure is the Natural Beauty of Swan brochure outlining the environmental heritage of the Swan Region. Important note on Barbecues Electric barbecues are free to use and can be used any time throughout the year. The use of wood-fired barbecues is subject to prevailing fire conditions during the prohibited burning season, from December to March. Please check with the City s Community Rangers on 9267 9326 for the most up to date fire weather conditions information before using these barbecues. Please note that firewood is not provided for wood fired-barbecues.

Altone SKATE Altone Park Benara Road, Beechboro A unique lakeside setting in Perth s eastern suburbs and a short three kilometres to the Swan Valley vineyards. The many facilities of Altone Park Leisure Centre are located nearby.
