A Few Words from the President... Fellow Exchangites, As always, April was a special time for the club because it helps show our commitment to the youth in our community. We gathered during the month to recognize our Youth of the Year and A.C.E. Award winners. As always, these were outstanding students who were very deserving of our recognition. April was also the month for our Spring Car Parking Fundraising Event. This event is crucial to the club s fundraising efforts and it collected over $4,300 to help the club to fund many of its programs. A big thanks to Walt Wood and all the volunteers for making this event a success, especially those who took multiple shifts parking, plus set-up and tear-down. During Memorial Day Weekend at the end of May is our other big fundraiser for the spring. The Coffee Break Fundraising Event is an important event because not only does it allow us to raise funds, but it also allows us to raise awareness of the Exchange Club of Carlisle and all that we do for our community. The weather should be great, so I hope all of you will consider taking a turn at passing out hot dogs and coffee during this event. There are only a few more meetings left before we break for the summer, so I hope you will attend at least one of them. At the club meetings you will find good food, good friends and great speakers. Yours in Exchange, 98th National Convention 33rd Symposium Houston, Texas July 13-16, 2016
