Milton Keynes Natural History Society Peter Hassett Love nature? Interested in birds, butterflies, wildflowers? Enjoy talks on nature and wildlife? Like going on walks to see interesting local nature sites? Milton Keynes Natural History Society Why not join your local naturalists in MK Natural History Society? Founded in 1968, Milton Keynes Natural History Society is one of the most active societies of its kind in the country. We have members interested in birds, flowers, butterflies, other insects and spiders, mammals, amphibians and reptiles, fungi, mosses and many other areas of natural history. Whatever aspect of nature you are interested in, you will find kindred spirits in our Society to share, and further, your interest. In the winter we hold weekly meetings almost every Tuesday in the medieval Cruck Barn at Bradwell Abbey, in the heart of Milton Keynes. These meetings are addressed by invited expert naturalists from around the country and our own members. In the summer we go out on Tuesday evenings for walks in local sites of special natural history and wildlife interest. These walks are not too strenuous, and offer you the chance to visit local wildlife sites and see something in the wild you haven t seen before. We are a friendly, welcoming bunch of people why not join us! To find out more and view the current programme visit www.mknhs.org.uk 11
