HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS NORTH BERGEN, NEW JERSEY. RATING: 2 STARS The Holiday Inn Express is right across the river (Lincoln Tunnel area) from Manhattan. It is easy to travel back and forth and the cost savings are well worth the short commute. The hotel was completely renovated in late 2008. Our motorcoach group stayed here in 2008 & 2009 and they found it pleasant and convenient to NYC. A hot breakfast is included each morning and the hotel offers a shuttle service to/from Manhattan for a small fee. NOVOTEL HOTEL TIMES SQUARE. RATING: 3 STARS. Located in the heart of the Theatre District at 52nd and Broadway, this hotel is very well priced and upscale. It is very convenient to Midtown attractions & public transit. Each of the 480 rooms are quiet, comfortable and some offer fantastic views of Times Square. A great hotel for the price. COURTYARD NEW YORK TIMES SQUARE SOUTH. RATING: 3 STARS. Located on West 40th Street, between Broadway and 6th Ave, this hotel is very close to the New York Public Library which is the designated pick-up point for the bus to the marathon start. The hotel is in a quiet area but very close to Times Square, Macy s and the Empire State Building. The 32- story hotel offers 244 newly renovated rooms and suites, meeting rooms, dining facilities, and a fitness center. This hotel gets great reviews and is noted for its friendly accommodating staff and great location. Guestrooms have coffee/ tea makers, flat screen TV, safes, alarm clocks, iron and ironing board. RESIDENCE INN TIMES SQUARE. RATING: 3 STARS. This suite hotel opened in late 2005 (at Avenue of the America s and 39th St.) and is a favourite of our marathon clients. It is the first SMOKE FREE hotel in Manhattan and features suites with kitchenettes (fridge & microwave), comfy beds with lots of pillows, buffet breakfast daily and an exercise room with cardio equipment and free weights. The location is perfect, near the NY Public Library, Empire State Building and all Midtown attractions. CROWNE PLAZA MANHATTAN. RATING: 4 STARS. The Crowne Plaza is located at Broadway and 49th at the heart of the Theatre District and Times Square. This 46 story, 770 room property has recently completed an $85 million renovation and features a huge indoor lap pool and state of the art 29,000 sq. ft. sports and fitness club. You will love their holistic Sleep Advantage program featuring 7 steps to a restful night s sleep. THE EMPIRE HOTEL. RATING: 3 STARS. This is our closest hotel to the Marathon Finish Line, located on West 63rd between Lincoln Centre and Central Park. Its 413 rooms feature flat screen TV's, up to date movies, IPOD docking stations with speakers, wireless high-speed internet, upscale linens, in-room safe and luxury bathroom amenities. There is a lobby bar, a rooftop bar and lounge with lovely views and a full-service restaurant. THE ESSEX HOUSE HOTEL. RATING: 4 STARS Located at 160 Central Park South, the Essex House is an historic hotel surrounding guests with distinctive luxury and gilded elegance. The Essex House is directly on the route of the marathon, within 1/2 mile of the finish line. Voted North America s Leading Hotel in 2007 (World Travel Awards 2007), the Essex House continues to be recognized as one of the finest hotels in the world. Guestrooms are decorated in Art-Deco style and feature dual-line speaker phone, high speed Internet access, mini bar and much more. The hotel has a 5 star restaurant and fitness and health spa. PACKAGE #3 MOTORCOACH, HOTEL and GUARANTEED ENTRY 8, 2010 This is a great economical package departing by deluxe highway motorcoach from southern Ontario. We will have our own private motorcoach with reclining seats, picture windows, washroom and Stereo/VCR. The tour is hosted by the amazing Dave McConkey, who has led many great marathon trips including Boston, New York, Chicago, Dublin, Athens and more. Our hotel is the Holiday Inn Express in North Bergen, New Jersey, a 2-star property. This hotel is conveniently located across from Manhattan via the Lincoln Tunnel. The hotel has been completely renovated and offers a shuttle service for those who wish to visit Manhattan independent of the group (there is a small fee). A hot Breakfast is included each morning. We depart from southern Ontario early on the morning of and return on the evening of. Please request pick-up from a city in Southern Ontario. The final route will be based on these requested cities. LOTTERY ENTRIES: A small portion of International entrants may obtain New York Marathon Entry through the lottery system. The lottery results will be available in mid-may.
