FRIENDSHIP. ACCOMPL Summer Camp at the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg will give your child the opportunity to grow and thrive in a fun and safe environment. We strive to give your child the best experience at camp through bringing on the best camp staff, swimming, swim lessons, arts & crafts, exciting games, weekly field trips and so much more! You will not want your child to miss out on what great things we have in store for our campers! This will truly be the BEST. SUMMER. EVER. 2018 Summer Camp Rates: Monday-Friday 7:00am-6:00pm Ages: 5 Years-13 Years YMCA Members: $110/Week Per Child Program Members: $175/Week Per Child (Fees include camper t-shirt & field trips) Registration fee will be waived until May1st. *$10 Deposit for each week registered & a $35 registration fee per family is due at registration. Deposits and registration fees are non-refundable & non-transferable. FAQ: What should my camper wear to camp? Active type clothing and tennis shoes. What should my camper bring to camp? Sunscreen, morning and afternoon snack, swim suit, towel, lunch (optional free lunch is provided) What should my camper NOT bring to camp? Any electronic devices, personal toys from home, or anything of high value. Do you offer sibling discounts? No Are field trips included? Yes, field trips are included with your weekly fees. What is the camper to staff ratio? 1 counselor for every 12-15 campers. Do you offer financial assistance? Yes, as a 501(C)3, financial assistance is available, deadline to apply is May 24th. When will parent orientation take place? Thomas E. Hannah YMCA, May 30th at 6:15 pm. Middle Tyger YMCA K-3rd grade Tuesday, June 4th @6:30pm & 4th-8th grade Thursday, June 6th @ 6:30pm. Hours of Operation: Full Day Camp 7am-6pm How are weekly camp payments made? Weekly camp fees are to be placed on an automatic draft schedule with a valid bank account or credit card. A minimum of two weeks written notice is required to successfully cancel a week of camp without penalty. Refunds or prorates will not be given for suspension, expulsion, illness, vacations, and is at the discretion of YMCA staff. Camp payments are due on Mondays for the preceding week of camp.

ISHMENT. BELONGING. Summer Camp 2019 Dates & Themes: Passport to Fun! (June 10 June 14) Welcome to the first week of Summer Camp 2019! This week we will be getting familiar with the YMCA campus and starting the foundation of life-long memories and friendships. Shark Week! (June 17 June 21) Duuun, Dun, Duuun, Dun! This week of camp, we dive deep into the sea and swim with the sharks. Let s have a fun start to camp with water activities all week. Up, Up, & Away (June 24 June 28) It s a bird! It s a plane! It s Superman! Suit up campers because we have a job to do! The city of Spartanburg needs our help! Tap into your super powers all week long. Party in the USA! (July 1-July 5) A shortened week does not mean a day less of fun, We ll pack our usual amount of fun and adventure into just four days! Come celebrate with us as we find out what makes America such a wonderful and unique place! ***No 4th of July Care*** Celebration of Nations (July 8 July 12) It s an amazing world we live in and this week we re going to find out all about it! Come learn more about other cultures and countries. From flags, currency, to traditions. Myths & Legends (July 15 July 19) From the beginning of human history there have been many stories of glory, adventure, heroism, and mystery from the times of the Greek Gods to the Knights King Arthur s Court. Come with us on a journey through history as we delve into Myths and Legends. Camp Throw Down (July 22-July 26) Counselors vs Campers! Let the games begin as the counselors compete against the campers in a series of games and competitions to see who the ultimate winner will be. Color Wars (July 29-August 2) Bring on the Colors! This week of camp we will assign a color for each age group. The groups will compete in trivia, outdoor games, games in the pool, and so much more. World of Science (August 5-August 9) Get ready to go mad with science! There are no limits to what crazy experiments you might get in to! Join us for a bubbly and explosive week discovering the wonderful world of science. Camp Rewind (August 13-August 16) Put that tape in and let the good times roll! Help us look back at pictures, talk about favorite memories, and recall all the fun times we had this Summer. CARE FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 3RD THROUGH JUNE 7TH We will offer full day school age childcare the week of June 3rd through June 7th; however it will be called SOS week. Please register online or at your locala branch for this service if needed. This will be a weekly rate and prorated if needed for snow make up days according to the District school calendar.

Play Hard. Dream Big. Camp Little Brave Greater Spartanburg YMCA Your precious little one can come to Summer Camp too! Camp Little Brave is geared specifically just for 3 and 4 year olds! During our half day camp our Camp Little Brave will have fun doing crafts, games, activities with colors, letters, numbers and shapes as well as receiving weekly swim lessons at no additional cost. Camp Little Brave: Monday-Friday 9:00am-1:00pm Ages: 3 Years-4 Years YMCA Members: $55/Week Per Child Program Members: $75/Week Per Child *$10 Deposit for each week registered & a $35 registration fee per family is due at registration. Deposits & registration fees are nonrefundable and non-transferrable. Counselor In Training Program Ages 14 to 15 The Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) program provides teens with training in how to use effective leadership skills throughout their lives and how to effectively lead children. CIT s are provided with training, leadership, and mentors as they assist in day camp programs and field trips. CIT s must participate in the training week (includes First Aid/CPR) that will ensure they are comfortable and prepared to work with youth! The CIT program takes place throughout the summer, coinciding with regular camper sessions. CIT Application Timeline: April: Applications available at the Y May: CIT Interviews and Acceptance May: CIT Training and Placement Rate: $100 for the summer Includes: Tee Shirt, lunches, field trip admissions and supplies For More Details and Information, please inquire at your local branch

THOMAS E HANNAH YMCA HALF DAY SPORTS AND SPECIALTY CAMPS WEEK 1: June 10-14th Basketball Camp: Member: $75/ Non Member: $105 Want to be the next Michael Jordan? Then focus on your skills with Basketball Camp. We will practice drills, play games, and more. AGES 5-13 Lego Camp: Member: $125/ Non Member $200 Learn to build elaborate objects, structures, and vehicles while exploring fundamental principles of engineering and physics. WEEK 2: June 17th-21st Soccer Camp: Member: $75/ Non Member: $105 Get your camper ready for soccer season with drills, plays, and enjoyment of the sport with soccer camp. Ages 5-13. Fishing Camp: Member:$100/ Non Member: $175 Bring your pole and bait! We will visit a new local fishing destination each day. Theatre/ Drama Camp: Member:$100/ Non Member: $175 Our trained and passionate counselors assist with the entire show production from start to finish. We focus on the process, not the product all while having fun, making friends and building self esteem. Singing, choreography, set, prop & costume design, puppetry, writing & more! WEEK 3: June 24th-28th Sports Conditioning Camp: Member: $75/ Non Member: $105 Little athletes will partake in morning stretches, drills and exercises to take their performance to the next level for whichever sport they are active in. Ages 5-13 Mad Scientists Camp: Member:$100/ Non Member: $175 Does your child love ooey, gooey, crazy science projects? This is the camp for them. We will tie fun in with learning during this STEAM powered week of fun. End the week with a trip to Hogwarts for some potion concoction classes! WEEK 4: July 1st-5th (4 Days) Cheer and Tumble Camp: Member$60/ Non Member: $84 Love to cheer on your favorite team? Learn basic cheers along with all the proper techniques of tumbling. This is a time for team building but also fun and lots of practice. WEEK 5: July 8th-12th Basketball Camp: Member: $75/ Non Member: $105 Want to be the next Michael Jordan? Then focus on your skills with Basketball Camp. We will practice drills, play games, and more. AGES 5-13 Girl Power Camp: Member:$100/ Non Member: $175 Celebrate being a girl! We will focus on life skills such as teamwork, self care, self esteem and being proactive while doing all things girly! We will end the week with a choreographed dance performed at opening ceremony and all parents/caregivers are invited. Ages 5-13. Young Artists Camp: Member: $125/ Non Member $200 Each day we will focus on a different art form. Includes a field trip to a local art museum. WEEK 7: July 22nd-26th Team Sports Camp: Member: $75/Non Member: $105 Not sure which sport is your favorite? Try them all with our Team Sports Camp! Each day will offer something different. Enjoy learning the basics of baseball, basketball, soccer, and more. AGES 6-13 BackYard Science: Member:$100/ Non Member: $175 Join David our backyard scientist for a week of silly, outdoors science projects. Includes a trip from the Reptile Man so all campers can learn about the creatures in the wilderness! Ages 5-13 WEEK 9: August 5th-9th Wood Working Camp: Member: $125/ Non Member $200 A week of wood working! Learn the basics of this fun hobby and how to be safe while doing it! DJ Booth Camp: Member:$100/ Non Member: $175 Make your own mix tape with a local musician to guide you! Learn about mixing music. Great opportunity for young musicians! WEEK 10: August 12th-16th Dance Camp: Member: $75/ Non Member: $105 Each day is a different genre! Hip Hop, lyrical, ballet, jazz, fee style and more! STAY ALL DAY! Middle Tyger Family YMCA Specialty Camps Horseback/Equestrian Camp (June 10-June 14) Do you love horses? Learn about horses and how to properly care for them. Includes horse back rides, lessons on equipment. AGES 6-13 (limit 20 spots total) Must wear closed toed shoes. Performing Arts Camp (June 17 June 21) Love music and plays? This one of a kind camp is for you to try different forms of art from learning different instruments, seeing how plays work, and getting the opportunity to meet with our local high school band! Ages 7-13 Fishing Camp (June 24 June 28) Grab your poles and bait! Campers will be heading out each day to go fishing. Learn how to string a line and release fish back into the wild. AGES 7-13 (limit 20 spots total) Must bring fishing pole and wear closed toed shoes every day. Mad Scientist Camp (July 8 July 12) Do you love to learn?! Join us as we learn about the wonderful world of science. From making volcanoes, to learning how planes fly, and how to make slim! Let s get to thinking and creating. Princess Camp (July 15 July 19) Have a favorite princess in mind? Bring all the fun to life in being the princess you want. Getting dressed up, painting your nails, and so much more in this one of a kind fairytale camp. AGES 5-13 Art & Gardening Camp (July 22 July 26) Are you the next Picasso!? Come join us this week and learn about art and wonderful world of gardening. You will get to bring out your inner artist and learn about a multitude of flowers and plants. AGES 7-13 Cheer & Tumbling Camp (July 29 August 2) Love to cheer on your favorite team? Learn basic cheers along with all the proper techniques of tumbling. This is a time for team building but also fun and lots of practice. Outdoor Adventure Camp (August 5 August 9) Do you love the outdoors? This camp is for you! Explore mother nature and learn how to survive in the wilderness, set up a tent, make a fire, and so much more! AGES 7-13 Sports Camps Hiking Camp (June 10-June 14) Do you love the outdoors and would rather be outside then inside?! Then join us in our hiking camp where we go off site 3 times to different local trails. Baseball Camp (June 17 June 21) Batter up! Learn the ins and outs of playing baseball. Each day we will participate in drills and games. AGES 6-13 Must wear closed toed shoes. Team Sports Camp (June 24 June 28) Not sure which sport is your favorite? Try them all with our Team Sports Camp! Each day will offer something different. Enjoy learning the basics of baseball, basketball, soccer, and more. AGES 6-13 Archery & Riflery Camp (July 8 July 12) Take aim at this one of a kind camp. Learn the basics of archery and riflery. This is a great fun and exciting camp but it also offers a tremendous amount of safety being taught and exhibited between the ranges. Ages 7-13 (limit 12 spots) Basketball Camp July 15-July 19) Want to be the next Michael Jordan? Then focus on your skills with Basketball Camp. We will practice drills, play games, and more. AGES 6-13 Junior Lifeguard Camp (July 22 July 26) Do you love to swim and care about the safety of others? This week offers both a variety of skills to improve your swimming, awareness. and so much more. Throughout the week you will gain the confidence and knowledge to volunteer as a YMCA Jr. Lifeguard and be ready to take the lifeguard class at 16! AGES 7-13 Flag Football Camp (July 29 August 2) Get ready for football season with our Flag Football Camp. We will learn the basics of football, run drills, positions, play games against one another, and so much more! Soccer Camp (August 5-August 9) Get ready for 2019 Fall soccer with our very own Soccer camp. We will learn the basics of soccer, run drills, positions, and play games all in preparation for youth soccer here at the Y!
