Develop movement for the actor 7. Participate in hands on stagecraft projects 8. Explore Technical theatre: stage make-up, costuming, lighting and more! Acting Out Encouraged is the theme of this year s camp, and you ll learn what that means when you get here (and it won t get you into any trouble with your Mother!). Mostly, though, be prepared to have loads of FUN! It all happens June 13-25. Teresa Ragland Camp Director

We look forward to greeting all campers on Monday morning, June 13th at 9:00 am SHARP at the front entrance of the Angelina Center for the Arts building on the Angelina College campus (see map). If you can arrive a little before 9:00 a.m. that would be even better, as it will give the camper enough time to go into the Temple Theater and get settled for the company meeting. Camp ends at 4:00 pm each day, Mon-Fri. We will appreciate if you would pick up your camper in a timely manner. Thanks! 2. Early drop-off (7:30-8:30) and late pick-up (4:00-5:00) is available at Hudgins Hall (across the parking lot from the ACA Building). The cost is $5 each time you use this service. You may use this service at any time without advance notice payment is expected at time of service by cash or check. 3. Where to come. Each day will begin and end at the front entrance of the Angelina Center for the Arts building on the Angelina College campus. Enter the parking lot on the south end of the campus (off FM 819/College Drive). Please see map. 4. Contact information. If you need to contact your child during the day, you may use any of the following numbers: Camp Administrator (Tracy Pinkerton): (936) 676-9843 Camp Administrator (Joanna Temple): (281) 236-7960 Angelina Arts Alliance (Rick Schiller): (936) 633-5234 Temple Theater (Kristie Bailey): (936) 633-5454 Angelina College (Fine Arts Division): (936) 633-5233 5. We want everyone focused on what they re doing and we certainly don t want anything disrupting other campers. There are no secure locked areas for valuables. 6. Automotive DASHBOARD signs will be distributed to the parent or guardian who drops their child(ren) off on the first day of camp. Each family will be given (5) DASHBOARD signs to be distributed by the parent(s) to the other vehicles dropping and picking up campers. NO DASHBOARD sign means a longer process for pick-up. 7. IMPORTANT THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE ATTENDING CAMP CENTERSTAGE-ACADEMY 1. You must be on time for each day s company meeting at 9:00 a.m. in the ACA building. 2. Let us know if you have to miss a day as far in advance as possible. The production of a show is a team effort and everyone is needed at every rehearsal. 3. Saturday, June 25 is a performance day for family and friends. Shows begin at 10:30 a.m. 4. Wear comfortable, washable clothes in which you can be physically active. No dresses or skirts. You are likely to be on the floor for part of the day. ONLY CLOSE-TOED SHOES PLEASE. NO FLIP FLOPS OR SANDALS. Planned activities make these kinds of shoes inappropriate. Sport or tennis shoes will be fine. 5. It may be COOL inside the building. We suggest you bring a light jacket or sweater, in case you need it. You can leave it here until camp is over. 6. Don t forget to bring your lunch OR your money ($5) if you plan to buy lunch. Lunch menu for the two weeks is included in this packet. We will provide a morning snack. 7. Sorry, but we cannot accommodate visitors during the daily sessions. 8. Early drop-off (7:30am-8:30am) and late pick-up (4:00pm-5:00pm) is held at Hudgins Hall, across the parking lot from the ACA building. Please drop-off/pick-up your camper at this location if you sign up for these extended hours. There is no early or late drop-off at the ACA building.

PICK UP AND DROP OFF PROCEDURES FOR PARENTS No exceptions, as your child s safety is our #1 concern!!! On the first day of camp, it is imperative a parent or guardian drop off his or her child at Angelina Center of the Arts (ACA-See Map). Like school drop off, cars will line up single file in the order in which they arrive. A camp administrator will distribute 5 pre-printed Camp CenterStage 2011 dashboard signs. Dashboard signs will be number-specific to your camper. It is your responsibility to distribute these dashboard signs to the other authorized driver/vehicles provided on your Pick-Up Permission Form. When picking up your campers you must have this sign placed visisbly on the passenger-side dashboard of your vehicle. Pull up to the front entrance of the ACA building and line up single file in the order in which you arrive. Your dashboard sign will determine and assist our staff in expediting your camper out to you. The more cooperation we get on the pick-up procedure, the smoother and faster it will go. If for some reason a dashboard sign is not visible or not placed within the pick-up vehicle, the driver will be asked to park and provide proof of ID and checked against the list of people having permission to pick up your camper. The Camp Administrator and Camp Assistant directing traffic outside will assist you once parents with dashboard signs are completed picking up their children.
