PAINT and color: My all time favorite thing to do with the kids is PAINT! I love watching their faces as they carefully paint a masterpiece. For younger kids, there is edible paint you can make found in my blog Painting My World One Day At A Time, or I have let the kids paint in ziplock bags to make sure there is no mess. Just pour paint in ziplock bag and tape it to a table on all sides. Kids love it! Shaving Cream Play: Shaving cream is not only fun for the kids, but it can also be educational. First of all, you can add food coloring to it and create multiple colors for the kids to play with. To make it educational, you can draw different shapes or letters in the shaving crème to introduce to the kids. Fort or Furniture Fun: The kids love getting the couch cushion and making it into a slide by laying it against the couch. Forts are also fun too! Throw in some pillows, throw a blanket on top of some chair. and watch their imaginations. Make or Play with Instruments: My son loves to play with his piano and drums. You can also make instruments out of boxes, bells, string, and other household items Play Doh: What kid doesn t love play doh? Using cookie cutters with play doh is a hit around my house.
