Things to Do with a Themed Days: I LOVE a good theme day! Here are some themes we have done -dress up as our favorite movie character -Tacky Tuesday -*Spa Day -*Make a Pizza Night -*Aloha -*Drive in movie night -*Monday Night Football (* details are on previous blogs) My daughter and husbands UP movie costume READ: Of course you knew I would say this But reading is so important to do with kids. Not only does it help with their vocabulary, but it shows kids early that reading is fun. Toddler Sing and dance: Singing and dancing brings in the most positive vibe inside my home. Everybody is laughing and having a great time. My son asks every single day to dance (Justin Timberlake s Cant Stop the Feeling is his fav. Plant a Flower: The kids love to play in dirt, so planting a flower together and watering it together can be a fun bonding experience for both of you. Get Out of the House: This is a most almost everyday. The kids get stir crazy and so do I. It doesn t matter if we just run to target or the mall to walk and look around.i feel like they are always in better moods when we get out (zoo, museum, Gattitown)

Decorate cookies: I LOVE decorating cookies with the kids it turns out to be the biggest mess but totally worth it. We decorate with sprinkles, icing, and edible toppings such as eyeballs or lips. PAINT and color: My all time favorite thing to do with the kids is PAINT! I love watching their faces as they carefully paint a masterpiece. For younger kids, there is edible paint you can make found in my blog Painting My World One Day At A Time, or I have let the kids paint in ziplock bags to make sure there is no mess. Just pour paint in ziplock bag and tape it to a table on all sides. Kids love it! Shaving Cream Play: Shaving cream is not only fun for the kids, but it can also be educational. First of all, you can add food coloring to it and create multiple colors for the kids to play with. To make it educational, you can draw different shapes or letters in the shaving crème to introduce to the kids. Fort or Furniture Fun: The kids love getting the couch cushion and making it into a slide by laying it against the couch. Forts are also fun too! Throw in some pillows, throw a blanket on top of some chair. and watch their imaginations. Make or Play with Instruments: My son loves to play with his piano and drums. You can also make instruments out of boxes, bells, string, and other household items Play Doh: What kid doesn t love play doh? Using cookie cutters with play doh is a hit around my house. Play Hide and Seek: My kids LOVE this game everyday they want to hide from daddy before he gets home. Just have to make sure it is only fun when mom knows they are playing. Learning Activities: There are TONS of learning activities that are fun and brings in some education. I have some examples listed on my next blog Memory Games: these are finally fun with my 2 year old. He loves to match everything Dress Up: Ever since the kids were babies, I have loved to dress them up. Surprisingly enough they get a kick out of it too well most of the time. It is fun, and I love to get some good pictures out of it.

Fantasy Play: Play with dinosaurs, animals, or barbies and pretend with the kids. My husband always puts lego men in my son s dinosaurs mouth, and my son will go around saving the day. The play kitchen is always a lot of fun! Play with Stamps: My son will play with stamps as long as I will let him. He loves covering his page with stamps. Paper or Shadow Puppets: My son is obsessed with shadows! When I make puppets with my hands, it amazes him! Paper puppets are always fun to decorate too! Visit Library: Our library has a kid section with a train table, books, and computers. My kids LOVE to go to the library especially on share a book day. Feed the Ducks: The kids love animals and what better way to see animals and make it cheap but with a loaf of bread and a nearby lake Make a Car Ramp: My son is OBSESSED with cars You can create a car ramp in so many ways from a couch cushion to the lid of a container. Play outside at least everyday: We go outside at least once a day. We pull out the water hose or get in the sandbox. -Other suggestions: fly a kite, have a picnic, draw with chalk, water balloon or water gun fight, play with bubbles, nature walk (love watching my son either watch little ants working or study the birds flying around) Lego/Block Building: I love to watch my son stack blocks haha he is always so careful plus this will build his imagination if you want your child to stack blocks to create a magic castle or something similar. Crafts: Make some paper masks, paper plate animals, or anything that consist of the child using his imagination and creativity.

Spa DaY: I loved doing this with my little girl Feet in bubbles and paint those tiny toes Bake: I am definitely not a baker, but I love baking with my kids. Watching them pour the ingredients and get excited is so worth the mess afterwards Puzzles: We have TONS of puzzles from the sound animal puzzles to more difficult puzzles. My son gets better at these everyday, and I feel it helps him grow cognitively Science Experiments: My son has recently found his love for science experiments. Experiments on blog.
