In April 2013, Auckland hosted the first race in the 8 race, ITU World Triathlon Series (ITU s premium top level triathlon series). Auckland has secured a regular spot on the ITU World Triathlon Series calendar and now the stage is set for 2014 and for this event to grow into one of New Zealand s iconic long term events. BRAND NEW for the 2014 Barfoot & Thompson World Triathlon Auckland event: The event will host the 2014 Triathlon Standard Distance National Championships. The event will be a qualification race for the 2014 Grand Final in Edmonton, Canada. There will be a new Super sprint Triathlon- a fun short triathlon with a 300m swim, 10km bike and 2km run. There will also be various corporate product offerings e.g. a Corporate Team Relay Triathlon and Corporate Challenge Queen Street Golden Mile race, with a corporate experience including marquee, food & beverage and much more! Two iconic Auckland events will become one, with the Queen Street Golden Mile becoming part of the 2014 ITU Triathlon weekend.

THE SPORT & LIFESTYLE EXPO will be a 2-day exhibition held during the 2014 Barfoot &Thompson World Triathlon Auckland. The Expo will be held on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April 2014. Queen s Wharf is our event venue and The Cloud will play host to athlete registration, athlete briefings, and will also be the social hub for the event for all athletes with café, information desk and prize giving. The Expo will also be located in The Cloud, and will be well-publicised to athletes and spectators in the lead-up to and during event weekend. A unique opportunity to: Promote and sell your products and services linked to triathlon and general fitness - triathlon fans are fitness and sports lovers to whom exercise, diet and health are very important. Test and launch new products to a wide audience (triathletes, spectators and sportsminded people). Raise brand awareness in the domestic and international triathlon community. Highlight your expertise by offering advice and recommendations. Promotion of the Expo: The Expo will be marketed through radio advertising, print media, magazine advertising, PR, outdoor media; digital/ social media (Facebook, Twitter, website, newsletters); email marketing (competitors); promotional material (Official programme); spectator marketing (on-the-day announcements and special offers), Event Ambassadors on the street & signage on Queens Wharf to attract foot traffic.

Payment is due in full in accordance with the payment terms (strictly 14 days) and by the date specified on the invoice. The exhibitors must comply with all laws, industrial agreements, Occupational, Health and Safety regulations applying (whether or not mandatory at law) relating to the use or occupation of the Sport & Lifestyle Expo. Conduct of Exhibitor 2. The Exhibitor will ensure that their Expo stand is open to view and staffed by competent representatives during the opening hours of the Sport & Lifestyle Expo. 3. If Upsolut Sports Oceania Limited at its discretion considers any practice of the Exhibitor to be objectionable or not in the best interest of the Expo, Upsolut Sports Oceania Limited will be entitled to order the Exhibitor to cease the actions and/or to leave the Expo space. 4. The Exhibitor must maintain the Expo stand in a clean and orderly state throughout the Sport & Lifestyle Expo. 5. Exhibitors must ensure that all equipment and displays are located within the Exhibitors allocated space. 6. Children under the age of 16 will not be allowed entry to the Expo site during Pack In or Pack out. 7. The Exhibitor will not sublet their Expo space. The Exhibitor may use the Expo stand for the purpose authorised and for no other purpose. Any alterations to this must be agreed in advance with Upsolut Sports Oceania Limited Stand Installation 8. Exhibitors must not engage any contractor other than the official contractors to carry out any electrical work without the organiser s prior written consent. This is a safety requirement.
Stand Dismantling 9. Exhibitors must have their stands cleared by 9pm on Sunday 6 April 2014. Health & Safety 10. Exhibitors hereby acknowledge that they are aware of their obligations under the Health & Safety in Employment Act 1992 to take all steps to protect the health, safety and welfare of themselves, their contractors and employees, and the general public. Security and Insurance 11. A 24 hour security service is provided however all stands are at the sole risk of the Exhibitor. All Exhibitors should make their own arrangements for insurance against all risks. Upsolut Sports Oceania Limited will not be liable for any loss or damage. 12. Exhibitors are liable for repair costs for any damage to the Expo marquee or stands caused by themselves or their companies. Postponement or abandonment 13. In the event the Sport & Lifestyle Expo is postponed or abandoned for reasons beyond the organiser s control, a part refund will be limited to payments made for Expo space minus an administration fee. 14. Major Events Management Act. The event may be designated as a Major Event under the Major Events Management Act which provides the event protection from things such as ambush marketing and unauthorised association with the event. The Exhibitor agrees that none of its goals or services within the Expo or activity outside the Expo will imply or infer any direct or indirect association with the event.
