The Center is a perfect starting point for exploring Atlanta s history in civil and human rights movements. Overnight Atlanta ATLANTA at Hotel before meeting coach to Martin Luther King, JR. National Site Martin Luther King, JR. Birth Home- Take a guided tour of Kings Home on Auburn Avenue where he lived for the first 12 years of his life. Ebenezer Baptist Church- Listen to the sermons and speeches of Dr. King at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Browse exhibits about the history of the church or watch a video of Dr. King's sister as she talks about her family and the church. The King Centre- this centre continues to spread the radical, nonviolent ministry through educational and inspirational materials including audio, video and the preserved writings of Dr. King. Pay your respects at Dr. and Mrs. King's Tomb and view the Eternal Flame. International Civil Rights Walk of Fame- Walk in the footsteps of heroes such as Rosa Parks, Desmond Tutu and others which are embedded into the ground. Overnight Atlanta ATLANTA--BIRMINGHAM at Hotel before checking out and meeting coach. World of Coca-Cola- Experience the history of the world's most famous soft drink through fascinating exhibits, classic ads and an imaginative replica of the bottling process. Coach transfer to Birmingham Check into Hotel Kelly Ingram Park- site of civil rights rallies, demonstrations and confrontations in the 1960s, the park became the international focus of civil disobedience for blacks demanding equality. Overnight Birmingham BIRMINGTON at Hotel. Birmingham Civil Rights Institute- Richly detailed exhibits in the Civil Rights Institute reveal slices of black and white life in Alabama from the late 1800s to the present. A series of galleries tells the stories of daily life for African-Americans in the state and the nation and how dramatically different it was from the lives white people of that era took for granted. Sixteenth Street Baptist Church- Birmingham s most famous Civil Rights landmark due to the Ku Klux Klansmen bombing which was a turning point in the status of race relations locally and nationally. The church is a reminder of man s inhumanity and his capacity for love and forgiveness. Overnight Birmingham

Dexter Avenue King Baptist Church- Dr. King lived, preached and planned the Montgomery bus boycott here. Rosa Parks Museum -Experience the energy and emotion of the Montgomery Bus Boycott at this museum, which features a recreated street scene and re-enactment on the bus with video footage that transports witnesses to the fateful day on December 1, 1955. The Children's Wing prepares visitors for the museum reenactment involving Rosa Parks. The Freedom Riders Museum - Located in Montgomery's historic Greyhound Bus Station, the museum features the Road to Equality - The 1961 Freedom Rides art exhibit. An interactive video exhibit will capture and show thoughts and feelings from riders, witnesses and museum visitors. Check into Hotel Overnight Montgomery MONTGOMERY TUSKEGEE-- MONTGOMERY at Hotel before meeting coach for day trip to Tuskegee. Tuskegee University- founded by Booker T. Washington in 1881 as a school to train Africa-American teachers. Make your way to the university chapel, where 11 Negro spirituals are depicted in stained glass known as the Singing Windows. Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site- tells the story of pioneering black American pilots through its hangar museum, wayside exhibits and regular events. Tuskegee Human & Civil Rights Multicultural Center- exhibits draw parallels between the U.S. civil rights conflict of the mid-20th century and earlier conflicts between European explorers and Native American tribes. Coach transfer back to Montgomery Overnight Montgomery MONTGOMERY SELMA--JACKSON at Hotel before meeting coach for transfer to Selma. Selma Interpretive Center- tells how armed forces attacked the first wave of unarmed marchers on Bloody Sunday. Edmund Pettus Bridge- This famous Civil Rights landmark represents a pivotal point in Voting Rights as law enforcement officers attacked marchers with tear gas and nightsticks on Bloody Sunday, March 7, 1965. After Lunch, coach transfer to Jackson, Mississippi. Check into hotel Overnight Jackson JACKSON at Hotel Smith Robertson Museum and Cultural Center- housed inside the first public school for African Americans in Mississippi. Tougaloo College- recognized as The Cradle of the Civil Rights Movement in Mississippi because of the fundamental principles of freedom, equality, justice and America s promise. Farish Street Historical District- a 125-acre late nineteenth century grid-patterned neighborhood, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This is where you'll find over 100 years of rich African-American heritage. Visit the newly renovated Alamo Theater and then stop in at Johnny T s (formerly known as The Crystal Palace Night Club) where the likes of Duke Ellington, Lionel Hampton, and Louis Armstrong once performed. Any new person added to the booking must provide a signed acknowledgement. PLEASE NOTE: If any cancellation reduces the number of paying group members below the minimum number required for a particular tour price or concession (including free places), the invoice will be adjusted accordingly for all remaining group members.
