May - Spraying weed at Little Ranch May - Sawtooth BCHI Chapter Meeting June Packing Clinic August - Idaho Horse Council State Board Meeting October Yard Sale October - Idaho Sportsman's Alliance meeting Project in the Boise & Payette National Forests June National Trail Day Project (Peace Creek BNF) Fourteen members of BCHI and a member of the Boise National forest summer trail crew work for two days on the Silver creek trail and the lower third of the Peace creek trail. On Saturday, the volunteer crew cleared five miles of trail clearing 32 large downed trees and numerous smaller trees. On Sunday four more miles of trail were cleared with an additional 30 large trees removed.

June Kennally Creek Trail Head (PNF) Eleven members of Squaw Butte worked on two trail. On Saturday, the crew worked seven miles of the Needles trail, removing 40 downed trails. On Sunday seven miles of the river trail were worked, removing 32 downed trees. July Sawtooth Wilderness Six members of Squaw Butte spent a week riding various trail in the Sawtooth s. 47 miles of trail were traversed with 12 downed trees removed.

August Squaw & Poison Creek Trails (BNF) Eight members of Squaw Butte worked two trail from the Squaw Creek Trail head. Squaw Creek Trail Saturday, cleared 2/3 of trail to the meadow, cleared 45 major trees, a lot of brush and other small stuff. 12 miles ridden. Sunday, Poison Creek, cleared one tree, needs brushing and the trail to be marked, cattle trails make following it difficult. Storm caused us to stop once we reached the upper meadow. August Wilson Creek & Gabe s Peak Trails Three members worked this project. Saturday: 45 Trees Removed - 16 miles round trip - Wilson Corral 6 hours working up trail, 90 minute return to camp. Sunday: 15 trees removed - 8 mile round trip - Gabe's Peak 4 hours working up trail, 1 hour return reached the upper meadow.

September Cuddy Mountain Boundary Trail (PNF) Six members of the chapter worked and rode the Boundary and East Brownlee creek trails. 37 trees removed on Saturday 6 miles of trail cleared 09:00-16:00 12 ridden Sunday 7 miles ridden 09:00-14:00 September Yellow Jacket Trail Head (PNF) Seven members rode three trails out of this trail head.

2016 was a very successful year and members who attended the various events and project had a great time and represented BCHI and BCHA with pride and great industry.
