Accommodations in Atlanta The Carter Center has reserved a block of rooms at the Omni Hotel. Space is extremely limited due to another citywide conference and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The hotel deadline for the special group rate expires on Friday, March 16, 2012, at 5 p.m. EST. TRANSPORTATION AND ACCOMMODATIONS FOR VISIT TO PLAINS, GEORGIA VISIT TO PLAINS Important Note: Space is limited. Priority will be given to those attending the Executive Briefing. Buses will transport registrants on Saturday, April 21, 2012, from the Omni Hotel and The Carter Center to Plains, Georgia. Departure will be at 7:45 a.m. sharp and the journey will take approximately 3 hours from Atlanta. Guests will stay overnight in local hotel accommodations arranged by The Carter Center. Buses will depart Plains after church service and lunch on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at 1: p.m., and arrive in Atlanta by 5 p.m. Buses will stop at the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on the return journey from Plains to accomodate guests planning to depart Atlanta on Sunday evening. Once you receive your event registration confirmation from our office, we suggest that you book your return flight to leave Atlanta no earlier than 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2012. Information for Local Guests If you live locally, you have the option of parking your car at The Carter Center by 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2012, to travel with the group on the bus OR you can elect to drive independently and meet the group in Plains by 10:45 a.m. at the Plains High School Museum. Cancellation policy: Full refunds will be granted until March 16, 2012. All refunds will be processed and mailed after the event.
