Specialty Camp June 3 August 1 7:30 am 6:30 pm For Our Creators and Innovators Designed for our creators and innovators, our Specialty Camp will jump start your camper s future in the world of STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math! Campers get to delve deeper into an interest area, work with equipment that industry professionals use and participate in hands-on workshops to build their skills. Each camp is led by our own experienced and qualified Specialists to ensure highest quality programming. To top off each week, campers will get to showcase all that they learned in a memorable end-of-the-week showcase! 4

Experience STEAM! Location Coyote Creek 7 12 years old $310/ week Week 1 (JUNE 3-7): Gaming Beyond Take your child s love of gaming to a whole new level! This exciting week introduces hands-on experiences with tech programs such as Cubit an innovative STEAM robotics platform that utilizes 4th Industrial Revolution (the fusing of the digital, physical, and biological worlds) and BLOXELS a gaming tool that inspires coding and game building. Throughout the week, our special workshops will feature local engineers and entrepreneurs to assist in our hands-on workshops to inspire our students for their future in technology. Students will learn model making using real animation supplies, and gain technical experience shooting and editing their own stop motion film. Camp includes a field trip to the Disney Family Museum, and culminates in a gala event, where the filmmakers will present their work to friends and family. Join the magic! Along with recording the news in the studio, campers will also practice field reporting and relay the weekly weather! If your camper enjoys the technical side of producing, they can contribute as a cameraperson and assist in the editing room! Join us to broadcast the breaking news at the KC News Desk! Using materials that would ordinarily end up in a landfill, artists will be challenged to create a work of art that is relevant to the world around them. Children will learn about environmental issues that arise in our world from a Community Guest Speaker. Campers will be encouraged to make a difference in a constructive and creative way. At the end of the week artwork will be displayed in a gallery show for friends and family to enjoy! Welcome to the Cosmos! This week of Summer STEAM will expand, excite, and inspire paths to the future. This camp offers complete hands-on and age-appropriate learning activities that combine Physics, Astronomy, and Engineering, with the power of Imagination. Science is awesome! Week 5 (JULY 1-3)* STUDIO: Glow Galaxy Color is all around us! In this year s Glow Camp, we are taking it to the stars! We will be exploring a mash up of Glow-inthe-Dark Art and Astronomy! Our curious campers will explore the mysteries of the universe with their friends. We will embark on fun art activities and celebrate with a head to toe GLOW PAINT PARTY that is out of this world! They ll learn about the curiosities of the universe as well as our little glowing planet. Come and explore the galaxy with us! NO CAMP ON July 4 or July 5 LED BY IN-HOUSE SPECIALIST: JP Neang / SPECIAL ACTIVITY: Glow-In-The-Dark Paint Party Week 6 (JULY 8-12) Musical Theater Production: Cinderella Bibbidi Boppity Boo your way into our summer musical with excerpts from Cinderella! In five days, young performers will learn skills in dance, singing, acting, stagecraft, AND costuming! They will learn songs and portions of a script and will perform onstage in our culminating Friday event! This camp is designed with the immersion approach and students should plan to be in rehearsal from at least 9-3:30 daily. LED BY IN-HOUSE SPECIALIST: Jamie Roman / SHOWCASE: Theater Production Week 7 (JULY 15-19): Musical Review In this camp, your young star will learn all the basics of musical theatre production! Throughout the week they will learn dance technique, vocal basics, acting, costuming and will even have opportunities to learn how to create choreography and staging! Let your child take hold of their own learning and creativity guided by our Specialist and staff without taking on a full production. At the end of the week, the students will share all they learned in a showcase! This camp is designed for students who desire to be on stage. Campers will learn the basics of electrical engineering, how tech supports our modern world, the importance of safety, and most of all, fun! Imagine if we could test the velocity of a key lime pie launching from a bottle rocket. Would it taste better? Or, what if a paper cup could boil water without burning? Camp Wigalo June 4 August 9 7:30 am 6:30 pm For Our Youngest Campers Designed for our youngest campers, Camp Wigalo is developed and delivered by caring, specially trained staff to help our youngest campers develop socially and emotionally. Our nurturing staff help campers explore through hands-on experiences in a safe, age-appropriate environment. Weekly themes are reflective of their natural curiosity and observed interests. For Our Overnight Adventurers Camp Getaway June 17 June 21 5 days, 4 nights Camp Getaway offers 5 days and 4 nights of fun in which campers stay in cabins with up to eight of their peers and an experienced counselor. They explore nature by participating in exciting adventures like swimming, kayaking, archery, the climbing tower, zip lining, hiking, and much more! Campers will also participate in fun challenge courses, skits and scavenger hunts that encourage cooperation, promote self-esteem and help build close friendships! Our campers will continue their enriching summer experience by building friendships as they attend camp with fellow summer schoolers. Due to scheduling conflicts, our summer school campers will not be able to attend field trips, but will get to be a part of all on-site summer fun such as themed activities, water play and outdoor excitement!
