1. day Friedrichshafen Arrival Upon arrival at the hotel you will receive your rental bikes. Explore the Zeppelin city Friedrichshafen on your arrival day. Visit the historic Schlosssteg, the landmark of the city, the Schlosskirche, which today is one of the famous Upper Swabian Baroque buildings, and the Zeppelin Museum, which has the world's largest collection of airships. 2. day Friedrichshafen Bregenz 40 km Today you cycle comfortably on the Lake Constance cycle path past the holiday resort of Langenargen to Lindau and further to the festival city of Bregenz. Do not miss to cycle to the harbor entrance of Lindau, which is guarded by two six-meter high lion statues. It is probably the most well-known sight in Lindau as well as on the entire Lake Constance. Look forward to the festival city of Bregenz, to a dreamy old town and in the evening to a gourmet fish meal. Please note that during the Bregenz Festival from 19.07.-19.08.2018, overnight stays can also be made in nearby locations in the immediate vicinity, such as in Hörbranz, Lustenau or Dornbirn. 3. day Bregenz Arbon 41 km Through the nature reserve Rheineck you cycle to Rorschach, nestled between the rolling hills of the Appenzellerland and the vastness of Lake Constance. Already in 947 Rorschach got the market right and developed in the Middle Ages to an important trading place. Today the stately citizen houses in the lively town center testify that. Very convenient that you stay here or in Gaienhofen directly on the lake for two nights in a row. 5. day Excursion Rhine Falls 65 km Look forward to your bike tour to medieval Schaffhausen and on to the Rhine Falls. The Rhine Falls is 23 meters high and 150 meters wide, the largest and most water-rich waterfall in Europe! It is one of the major attractions around Lake Constance. From several platforms you have a fascinating view of the water masses between the rocks. If you participate in one of the many boat tours offered here, you will experience the falling water masses even from very close proximity! 6. day Stein am Rhein/ Gaienhofen Constance 45 km Through the nature reserve Radolfzeller Moos and Wollmatinger Ried you cycle to the monastery island of Reichenau. It was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List on 30.11.2000, as a cultural landscape that gives an outstanding testimony to the religious and cultural role of a large Benedictine monastery in the Middle Ages. Visit the well-preserved churches of the island and marvel at the monastic architecture from the 9th to the 11th century and the carefully restored murals. From here you continue cycling to the Konzilstadt Konstanz or to Kreuzlingen. You stay overnight at the 3-star Hotel am Hafen (on the shores of Lake Constance, about 10 minutes on foot from the old town of Konstanz in a picturesque setting with parkland and maritime flair) or in the Hotel Graf Zeppelin in the old town of Konstanz. 7. day Constance Friedrichshafen 46 km + Ferry On Lake Constance cycle path, you start cycling to the flower island of Mainau. Here it is worth taking a long visit, even if you can explore only on foot. You will be rewarded by a true floral splendor: tulips in spring, roses in summer and dahlias in autumn. In addition to these seasonal flower highlights, the island of Mainau offers a multitude of attractions and nature experiences. Marvel at the Baroque palace, the butterfly house, the Mediterranean terraces, the Italian flower water stairs or the green oasis of the roof garden.
