A. Documents to be presented by the pilot at registration 1. in addition to SGP rule V9.1: Third party insurance cover: According EASA regulation. MTOM > 500kg, 1,5 Mio SDR Insurance must also show that it covers competition flying. B Technical Requiremts 1. list of instruments that must be removed: none; however flying without reference to the ground is strictly forbidden. 2. Requirements for high visibility markings: none 3. Scrutineering. Main emphasis is on documents during registration; no extra rigging of gliders necessary; in case a pilot wants to have a mass check of his glider, can be done during scrutineering time; information to CD necessary during registration. 4. Aircraft maximum take off mass 600 kg 5. Procedure for checking aircraft mass: Weighing is outside club house; dropping water during weighing to reach maximum take off mass is possible without penalties. Any ballasting after weighing is prohibited. In case of re-launching weighing is mandatory after re-ballasting. Weighing is done every day with pilot in cockpit including parachute, loose times such as thermos, drinks, tie-down equipment, additional clothing, and everything else that is put into the cockpit for contest flight. 2. Units of measurement: speed [km/h], altitude [meters], 3. Single Frequency to be used 123,525 MHz 4. Carriage of tracking unit: All gliders will be equipped with a Flymaster 360-2G Tracker. We prefer if all participants also use Flarm, set on at all times, in normal mode (not competition mode nor stealth mode) 5. We have no extra airspace for the competition. Our standard gliding sectors Borås and Herrljunga where we get up to FL70 will be used during competition.
D Gridding 1. We will grid on grass 04/22 in normal situation. If we get to much rain we have opportunity to also use asphalt runway and then we will have special gridding on taxiways. Normal gridding is with three gliders in each row: 2. You are allowed to drive with private cars on grass areas please keep you on east side on airfield when you drive.
E Launching procedures 1. Procedure for motor gliders will be launched last no special procedure more than keep red area for stopping engine not higher than 700 m QFE. 2. Release area: Will be East north east of the airport. 3. Release: At altitude 700 m QFE, but only after tug plane rocks its wings 4. We recommend all SSG gliders to test engines each day and run it up to 2 minutes without gaining altitude and you should do it on altitudes which is lower than 700 m QFE and stop engine in red area of the map above. 5. Re-flights/relaunch can be done you ask CD or FOD for a relaunch. If you have refill glider with water you need to weigh it before the relaunch. F Finish Procedure 1. Arrival Announcement: Reporting 6 km before finish line which is same as last turn point 99Hundkapp. Be aware that you only have lakes to land on before airfield!
2. Finish line altitude: 150 m QFE which means 329 m QNH 3. Landing on airfield without regular crossing the finish line: time is taken when glider stops on airfield. 4. Speed finish: After crossing finish line fly traffic pattern North west for RWY 04 / 22. 04 is done left circuit and 22 right circuit. We try to use grass field and land long so other get space, if grass field is to busy you will be welcome to also use our asphalt. 5. Direct landings or not speed finish landings is done through opposite circuits which means southeast circuit rwy 22 left and rwy 04 in right hand circuit (this is normal circuit for gliders @Borås). H Scoring 1. Upload of IGC file on scoring system for finishers within 20 Minutes after landing 2. Upload possible via SD-card or USB-stick in briefing area 3.
