President s Notes Hello Mustangers, Hopefully, we will be seeing more 'spring' and less winter chill over the next month. Before I get to the club news we are glad that Kevin made it through unexpected gall bladder surgery and is doing fine. Also, as I mentioned in an email last week, it would be good to get those memberships paid soon since Kevin has plenty to attend to as the new Treasurer. Now that we're moving into March events will be on the increase and our events chairs Linda and Tommy will keep us up to date on what's ahead. April will bring our annual birthday party on the 13th, weather permitting. It will be at the Aim bank at south Slide and South Loop 289(their newest bank). Buns over Texas will provide the burgers and sides and we will work with Danny at Aim on how to supply the other items. Later in the month, the Blue Ribbon rally will take place downtown. At the February meeting members decided that the club would NOT 'officially' park cars for the Rally this year. Members are welcome to participate and assist with the event in any manner. The club also voted to provide $25 annually to officers to offset some of the cost of membership in the Mustang Club of America. Officer membership is needed in order for the club to receive insurance and other benefits from MCA. Please join us at the meeting since we will be discussing the coming June car show, it will be just 3 months away till show time. Now s the time to start collecting ditty bag items and door prizes. Also, Chuck and the Car show crew will appreciate ideas/suggestions on most everything. We will be at the Red Zone cafe at our usual time on March 7 th. John

Meeting Minutes for February Meeting was called to order by John at 7:03 pm with a hearty whistle from Neil. Sprague said he was a visitor. There were 26 members present. There was a motion and a second to approve the minutes from the last meeting as written. Kevin, our treasurer, reported that there was $5230 as a current balance, plus money from dues collected tonight, and $1000 check from Pollard Ford. There was a motion and a second for accepting the report. Tommy, our activities chairman, suggested a cruise on April 6 th, from Kohl s parking lot leaving at 4:30 pm, and traveling to E & J barbeque for supper. E & J is located at Spirit ranch by the airport. April 13 th is the new date for the Mustang birthday party at Aim Bank on Slide road and Loop 289. There was a discussion of whether the mustang club will park cars at the Blue Ribbon Rally this year. Jimmy Godfrey moved we will not provide parking for the Blue Ribbon Rally this year and Sprague Fleming seconded it. The club voted not to provide parking this year. Dennis gave the MCA report. He needs your MCA number if you are a member. Sprague introduced a motion the officers be reimbursed for joining MCA at whatever level they choose. Larry seconded the motion. Motion carried. Neil Thompson gave the car show report. Judges are being sought, trophies, and food vendor was discussed. Tommy introduced the idea of combining with Caprock Classic Car Club to have an indoor show at the Wind Power Museum, instead of just the Mustang Club. Larry Rasco thanked everyone for thoughts and prayers for his surgery and recover from his quadruple bypass heart surgery. He reports he is feeling great. Meeting adjourned at 7:52 pm. Respectfully submitted by the 1 year sectary, Gordon Jones
