SHARED FACILITIES REPORT Thanks to Mike Holmes and Wolf Holst for assembling and installing the new cupboard unit in the Ellen Room. It looks great! All costs for this new item were paid for by the Social Committee. PROPERTY MANAGER S REPORT The Board of Directors at SSCC #360 (33 Ellen) has appointed Dr. Michael O Dwyer for the vacant position until next AGM. The Engineers, the builder, the lawyers, the board of Directors, Tarion and Hassey Management are in regular communication to resolve the deficiencies for the balcony railings. It is expected that a final solution will be available in early 2014 so that the project can be completed for the summer. An engineering firm has been assigned by the Board of Directors to provide a scope of work for the exterior stairs on the lake side. The finalized scope of work will be reviewed by the Board in early spring in order to allow the engineer to start the tendering/bidding process in the spring. During the holidays we had many issues with visitors parking overnight without parking permits. This resulted in many cars being ticketed. The owners/residents are responsible to inform their visitors that they are required to obtain parking permits if they are staying overnight. Please remind your visitors that the driveway leading to the garage door is two-way traffic and cannot be blocked. We are posting temporary signage until the spring and at that time will install permanent posts for these signs (requires drilling into the ground).

The garbage chute at 33 Ellen had to be shut down for a couple of days due to large items being thrown in it, resulting in the replacement of the motor for the compactor. Large chunks of marble and wood panels were found in the chute. The cost of the replacement of the motor will exceed $3500. The board would like to remind residents that the garbage chute is only to be used for the disposal of light kitchen waste and not for renovation or large items. Attention Dog Owners: 1. Dog owners are reminded that they must clean up after their dogs according to the City of Barrie by-law. 2. Per the Corporation Rules, dogs must be on leash when in the common areas. 3. Do not dispose of the poopy bags in the garbage bins in the garage. USEFUL TIPS KIDDE i12020aca SMOKE ALARMS: If any resident experiences any problems such as intermittent chirping associated with their smoke detector, the phone number for the KIDDE Customer Service Department is 1-800-880-6788. Give them the model # and date that is displayed on the back of the unit. These units have a 5 year warranty and a replacement will be sent to you via UPS at no charge in about 7-10 days. These units are installed close to the kitchen and even though they are hard-wired, are not part of the central alarm system of the condo, and therefore are your responsibility to maintain. # 467 DST PALO SINGLE HANDLE PULL-OUT KITCHEN FAUCETS (DELTA BRAND): You may experience your kitchen faucet dripping when shut-off. These units utilize a cartridge part # RP50587 which is under warranty and available at no charge at Northwest Plumbing Supply 15 Mollard Crt., 705-727-9727 (just west of Bayview Dr across from the " SOURCE") or by calling DELTA customer service at 1-800-345-3358. Many thanks to Wolf Holst for providing these tips. Christmas Dinner at The Nautica! (Photo Courtesy of Donna McQuay) Page 2
