Wikipedia Although a lot of details are still unknown, Jarabacoa lay along the borderline between the native Taino chiefdoms of Maguá and Maguana. While there are no indications of any Taino settlements, it can be assumed that sporadic Tainos lived in the area long before the arrival of Christopher Columbus.
