WHAT TO EXPECT PHYSICAL ACTIVITY THIS IS AN ADVENTURE TRAVEL FITNESS VACATION. Expect to work out and to work hard. We want you returning more fit than when you came. We will work out every morning as a group and provide daily mobility classes with epic views. Our tours will be physically demanding hikes, canyoning, rafting, ropes courses, and more. Of course we won t force you do to anything but we are here to push you to be the best version of you. ACCOMMODATIONS BEACH FRONT DOUBLE ROOMS as the default so if you come with someone, you ll room together. IF you come alone you can either make a new roomie friend or pay the single upgrade price to have your very own room.
FITTER HUMAN WHAT TO BRING Jeans, Shorts, Swimming Gear, LOTS of Gym Clothes / Active wear for hot climate, Underwear, Closed Toe Tennis Shoes, Camera, and a Sense of Adventure. FITNESS LEVEL You should have a basic to moderate level (or higher) of fitness to join this trip and the desire to increase that fitness. If you are a beginner on your fitness journey we will work with you where you are, if you are an advanced athlete we can push you past your current limits while providing an exciting adventure for everyone. As a group participants will be expected to cheer each other on and provide positive support. FOOD Excellent healthy options that satisfy KETO, ZONE, PALEO, VEGETARIAN, VEGAN and even Gluten Free diets in both buffet and restaurant formats are included at the hotel. Additional options are available for purchase at specialty restaurants and outside of the hotel. We will also be eating en la calle (on the street) and these restaurants will work with you to make the order fit your diet to the best of their ability. Yes you can drink alcohol on the vacation. No it doesn t help your fitness. No we won t judge. We ll be at hotels with nice bars and restaurants. You should know that you can NOT out train a bad diet and alcohol is part of a bad diet, not a good one. With that said if you have an adult beverage while enjoying Caribbean atmosphere, again, we won t judge.
WHAT ABOUT NUTRITION? We have carefully selected properties and worked with tour operators to offer options that fit Greg Glassman's prescription for fitness in 100 words. When it comes to diet, we recommend Eat Meat and Vegetables, Nuts, Seeds, Some Fruit, Little Starch, and NO SUGAR. (With exceptions for our vegetarian and vegan friends of course.) We ll be coaching you on this nutrition path throughout the vacation. If you have dietary restrictions or don t eat meat, we ll work with you to find good alternatives that support optimal performance in our activities and workouts.
WHO ARE THE INSTRUCTORS? On this inaugural trip you will be lead by Michael Weitzman, the founder of FitterHuman and a CrossFit Level 2 designated coach along with Netani Talei, former international Fijian rugby pro and head of training Citycise UK specializing in sports performance training. Michael Weitzman Michael is a Level 2 CrossFit trainer and was previously a Les Mills trainer. Over the last 12 months he lived in and coached fitness in 12 countries. With a passion for travel and a talent for finding unique, adventurous local experiences, Michael will ensure the group is constantly getting their adrenaline drip. Netani Talei is a 33 time Fijian International rugby player, and Harlequins player, appearing in over 200 Premiership Club games across his career. Now Head of training at CityCise UK. Born in Suva, Fiji, Talei moved to the UK in 2006 to play for Doncaster Knights before catching the eye of Worcester Warriors the following season. Netani Talei

ACCOMMODATIONS
ITINERARY Day 1 Starting on day one with a post travel workout to set the direction we'll get you pumped for our evening reception at our beachfront hotel. Day 2 Early morning WOD (work out of the day), shower, and we're off on our first adventure excursion hiking to one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the island of Hispaniola. We'll meet locals in the village, complete a semi-challenging hike, and return in time for mobility / yoga at sunset on the beach.
ITINERARY Day 3 Early morning WOD that includes swim training. Can't swim? Don't worry we'll either help you learn or substitute it. Then we'll hop on a boat and cruise to a remote island where we'll explore for the day. We'll make sure to stop along the way so you can check out sea life as you snorkel or free dive the Caribbean sea. Day 4 After our early morning workout and breakfast we'll hit the surf with kayaking, paddle-boarding, parasailing, and Jet Skiing*. By now you'll want a nap so we'll leave the afternoon free for you to mingle about the hotel, party in the pool, or just lay out on the beach. (*Jet Skiing is an option at additional cost).
ITINERARY Day 5 Get ready for an epic 2 day excursion to rappel down caves, horseback ride to waterfalls, and meet village locals who will cook our breakfast lunch and dinner as we adventure through the countryside and mountains of the DR. Day 6 Our second day of our remote adventure includes jeeping through the jungle, challenging hikes, and epic viewpoints before our trek back to our beach front accommodations in Punta Cana.
ITINERARY Day 7 Hang out at the hotel after you get your workout on and play some beach sports. Take salsa classes with locals and make your own dinner with training from our local chef showing how to cook healthy Dominican cuisine. Day 8 Zip lining in the jungle has never been so fun. We'll take a challenging high ropes course (multiple levels available) and speed through the palm leaves in the afternoon. By evening we'll take to the streets of the DR to show off our newly learned salsa skills at a bar full of locals and international travelers like you!
ITINERARY Day 9 Group workouts on the beach continue. We'll retest your fitness and compare it to day one benchmarks, your only competition is yourself. Take the day for relaxation in the pool, on the beach or at the spa. Our evening farewell reception will include dancing the night away at our hotel and a final night out to some local attractions. Day 10 One last team workout and healthy meal before our private transport takes you to the airport. You'll be leaving fitter, more cultured, and with a new global fit fam in tow.
