To get information about the conference, go to the AHVRP web site at www.ahvrp.org. On the first page of the web site, you will find the links to the conference information, the registration forms and the brochure. FADVS is sponsoring a special event on Saturday evening of the conference. Registration for this event is separate from the conference registration. The evening event includes admission to Epcot and a private viewing area for the Illuminations show and a dessert reception. The FADVS Board has completed the plans for the 2011 FADVS General Membership Meeting and the FADVS Installation of Officers Luncheon. Both meetings will be held on Thursday, September 15 at Maggiano s Restaurant in Pointe Orlando. If you re staying at the Hilton for the conference, it s just a short drive to Maggiano s on International Drive. We were able to get a much better deal for the Installation Luncheon at the restaurant and the food is amazing. So bring your appetite and come to celebrate the installation of our 2012 officers. On the following pages you will find information about registering for the AHVRP Conference, the evening event at Epcot and the FADVS meetings. At 6:00pm on Saturday, September 17, buses will transport you to the magic of Epcot, where you ll be free to explore all the wonders of the world showcase and enjoy inspiring entertainment and superb cuisine. At 8:30pm you will gather at the World Showcase Lagoon. The Italy Isola West Plaza will be your private area for enjoying exquisitely prepared delectable desserts and rich coffees, and for viewing the most incredible grand finale: IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. At the end of the evening, buses will whisk you back to your hotel, for a restful night s sleep and sweet dreams. This amazing evening is $50 if purchased in advance and $60 if purchased on site. The meetings will be held at Maggiano s Restaurant 9101 International Drive Orlando, FL In Pointe Orlando. The General Membership Meeting will begin at 11:00 am. The Installation Luncheon will begin at 12:30 pm. There is no charge for attending the General Membership Meeting. Cost to attend the Installation Luncheon will be $25.00 per person. Angelique Scott, DVS, was the host. Twenty members were present. The educational topic was In case of danger... how to de-escalate a threatening situation presented by Paul Ford, Director of Safety and Security, TGH. I reported what FADVS was doing, including the need for volunteer help and monetary help for the AHVRP conference. The next meeting of the SunCoast Council will be held in September.
