Coffs Cup Thanks you to all parents who have returned the notes regarding their arrangements for the Coffs Harbour Cup this Thursday. If you haven t sent this in please return it to school tomorrow. Sound System Our new sound system is up and running. It allows us to have sound not only in the top COLA but in the bottom COLA as well. This has been made possible through the generosity of our P and C who donated the money from last year s walk-a-thon. Toast Toast has started again. Students are able to have toast each morning before starting school. Athletics Congratulations to all students who represented our school at yesterday s district carnival. All students are to be congratulated on their excellence sportsmanship and effort during the day. Results will be posted when we receive them from the district convenor. NAPLAN Online Our trial of NAPLAN tests online will be held in Week 9 of this term. Students in Years 3 and 5 will be involved. This is not a NAPLAN test like the ones held in May but a test of our systems in preparation for next year when NAPLAN will be online except for the writing component. In preparation we have ordered some new computers. School Photos School photos will be held next Wednesday August 9. Please make sure that your child is in full school uniform and on time even if you are not purchasing a photo. Mrs Wright Some of our District Athletes enjoying the day at Coffs Harbour Garby Class 1/2 Win Bin Winners Tasmin, Lilly and Shakira Assembly Our whole school Education Week assembly will be held next Monday. It will commence at 1.45 pm. Championship trophies and ribbons from our athletics carnival will also be handed out. Everyone is welcome to attend. K-2 Assembly will be held at 11.15am on Thursday due to the half day holiday. Classy Cooks We will be running Classy Cooks again this term. Please pay your $3 to the office. If your child has long hair it is advisable that it is tied back for this activity.
