The Town and Country Chorus NOTES NEWS and VIEWS for April 2, 2019 SPRING SHOW As we sing through these Disney tunes, we ve been hearing guys talk about their memories from when they first saw the Walt Disney film the songs came from, or where they were when they watched that particular movie or heard the music from it. Sometimes the music triggers memories of an event in your life or in history that is of the same vintage as the music. Whatever the case may be, we d like for all of you to jot down these memories and recollections and bring them to the show committee. These may very well form the basis for the script we ll use for the show. In that same vein be thinking of possible costumes and staging ideas that will accentuate (isn t that word from a Disney song) our songs and reminiscing. Afterglow tickets should be available Tuesday evening along with full size advertising flyers for you to post. Speaking of the afterglow, remember that you will need to purchase an afterglow ticket for yourself. If you re singing on the show you get a free pass to be up on stage (your reward for all your hard work) but at the afterglow everyone needs to buy a ticket. This is especially important to know as the chorus will be singing then, too. We sang at the afterglow last year and received many favorable comments from our audience. Quartets if you d like to get a chapter quartet formed to sing at the afterglow that would be great. Keep after the advertisements. These ad. sales are a major portion of how we pay for the show as well as allowing us to keep our check book in the black for the year. The next Spring Show meeting is this Tuesday, April 2 @ 6:15 p.m. CONGRATULATIONS Bob Snow is celebrating his 19 th Barbershop Harmony Society anniversary. And Jerry Fuller has accomplished his 40 th. Way to sing guys! Hopefully there will be many more years that we can all sing with you. A special thank you to Rob Miller for leading us in our closer last week. DON T FORGET Jim Hartman and his all-star Northwesternaires Chorus of Defiance, OH will be performing their spring show on Saturday, April 6. If you haven t reserved your tickets yet make sure you talk to Jimbo Tuesday evening. Featured quartets are Main Street and Harmonic Thunder. All for now, see you Tuesday, Gary Make The Music That Makes The Difference
