The last train departing from the Historic Folsom Station at midnight will arrive at the 9th & K Station at 12:55 a.m. For more information, visit folsomlive.com. Blue Line Service Disruption on Saturday, September 10 RT will temporarily suspend light rail service on the northeast portion of the Blue Line between the Marconi/Arcade Station and the 10th & K Station in order to pull fiber-optic cable for communication upgrades. From 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 10 until 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, September 11, light rail trains will not operate between the Marconi/Arcade and 10th & K light rail stations. Buses will transport passengers between stations during the disruption. RT s contractor will complete the connection of fiber-optic cable between stations. Fiberoptic cable is used for hi-speed communications such as RT s digital message signs, camera surveillance and the future Connect Card. While the work is only at two of RT s light rail stations, Globe and Alkali Flat/La Valentina, the entire northeast portion of the Blue Line must be shut down due to the location of power substations and switches. During the work, RT s overhead contact system will be deactivated, which provides RT facilities staff an opportunity to conduct maintenance work on the American River Bridge, the 12th Street underpass and other areas along the right-of-way.

RT Seeks Comments on Title VI Analysis Effective Tuesday, September 6, 2016, RT will no longer operate the Granite Park Shuttle. The shuttle is a service of Granite Regional Park. Granite Park will be continuing to provide the shuttle, but with a new shuttle provider. Riders of the Granite Park Shuttle should not experience an interruption in service; however, federal law and RT policy require RT to conduct a Service Change Equity Analysis prior to RT officially and permanently discontinue service. To read the Title VI equity analysis, visit sacrt.com. Questions and comments should be directed to: James Drake RT Planning Department 916-556-0505 jdrake@sacrt.com The deadline to submit comments is on Friday, September 23 at 5 p.m. The analysis and all comments will be provided to the RT Board of Directors during the Board of Directors meeting at 6 p.m. at the Elk Grove City Council Chambers located at 8400 Laguna Palms Way in Elk Grove. New timetables are available at sacrt.com. Download RT s New Mobile Reporting App Alert SacRT

The new Alert SacRT mobile reporting app for ios and Android devices will be available for downloading starting on Monday, September 19. Alert SacRT will offer riders a quick and discreet method for reporting safety and security concerns directly to RT Police Services (RTPS) using a smartphone or tablet. App users can send photos, six second video, text descriptions, and locations of suspicious people or activities. From the home screen, users have two easy options for contacting RTPS: The Report an Issue button allows users to send text or photos directly to RTPS The Call RT Police button will connect customers directly to RTPS The app is designed for robust operation even under conditions of poor signal strength. If a report is sent from an area without cellular/wi-fi connectivity, it will be stored and sent when connectivity returns. The system is also designed to send text descriptions before photos so that RTPS can receive information quickly. Help keep RT safe, See It - Hear It - Report It by downloading the free Alert SacRT mobile reporting app from the App Store (ios) or Google Play (Android) on September 19. New Fare Vending Machines Installed at Light Rail Stations This month, RT started installing 29 new fare vending machines at light rail stations, and park-pay-and-ride stations (Franklin, Meadowview, Florin, Power Inn, Roseville Road, Watt/I-80 West, Watt/I-80). The new machines allow riders to purchase parking passes and fare media from the same machine using a credit card or debit card. There is no change to the daily or monthly fee to park, and parking is available on a firstcome, first-serve basis. Riders may pay each day either by cash, credit or debit card. When paying with cash or coin, exact change is required. The machines do not give change. Monthly parking passes are available online, RT s Customer Service and Sales Center (located at 1225 R Street), some retail outlets, and in the new fare vending machines. The new fare vending machines at the park-pay-and-ride lots require customers to enter a license plate number instead of the parking space number. If no license plate number is available, customers need to enter the last four digits of the VIN (located at the base of the front windshield). Also during the month of September, RT will be re-striping the park-pay-and-ride station lots. For more information about the Park-Pay-and-Ride program and the citation process, visit sacrt.com. September RT Board of Directors Meeting to be Held in Elk Grove The RT Board of Directors will hold their regularly scheduled Monday, September 26 board meeting at 6 p.m. at the Elk Grove City Council Chambers (not City Hall) located at 8400 Laguna Palms Way in Elk Grove. Persons wishing to attend the RT board meeting could take the Blue Line to Cosumnes River College (CRC) light rail station and transfer to special shuttle buses that will take passengers to the City Council Chambers. Shuttle buses will operate to and from CRC every 15 minutes from 5:11 p.m. until 6:11 p.m., and again when the meeting ends. Shuttle service will also be available to attendees who would like to leave the meeting early.

Sections of the Cosumnes River Boulevard Pedestrian Path to be Temporarily Closed Effective, Monday, September 12, a section of the pedestrian pathway from Franklin Boulevard to the Valley Green pedestrian bridge that parallels Cosumnes River Boulevard, will be temporarily closed. RT s contractor will install lighting along this section of pathway. Access from the Valley Green pedestrian bridge to the Center Parkway Station will be maintained during this time. Additional pedestrian pathway closures will take place in October. For additional information, visit blueline2crc.com 7th & Capitol Station to Re-Open The 7th & Capitol Station will re-open with fanfare later this month. As part of the Phase 1 system-wide station improvement project, construction began approximately four months ago to revitalize three light rail stations in downtown Sacramento: 7th & Capitol, 8th & K, and 9th & K light rail stations. The 7th & Capitol Station is the flagship station for light rail service to Golden 1 Center, where RT expects thousands of people will board and alight for Sacramento Kings games, marquee concerts and other events. Improvements at the 7th & Capitol Station include the addition of two new bus shelters, new station furniture, improved lighting and additional signage. RT is also finalizing plans to improve five key park-and-ride stations throughout the system: Florin, Franklin, Roseville Road, Sunrise and Watt/Manlove. The emphasis will be placed on upgrading lighting, installing additional security cameras, improving wayfinding, and improving the overall appearance of the stations. For details on the opening date, visit sacrt.com. Ride RT to the Farm-to-Fork Festival The country s most-anticipated fresh-food party, Farm-to-Fork Festival, will be back on the city s iconic Capitol Mall on Saturday, September 24 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., bigger and better than ever. Attendees will find more than a mile of interactive booths from local grocers, farms and ranches, as well as live music, five live cooking demonstration stages, and a kids zone all on Capitol Mall between 3rd and 9th streets. Admission to the Festival is free, and food and drinks are available for purchase. Avoid parking hassles and ride RT to the Farm-to-Fork Festival. Light rail serves the 7th & Capitol and 8th & Capitol stations, which are steps away from the activities. Or, ride bus routes that serve downtown. For route and schedule information, visit sacrt.com.
