UNTDA 75th ANNIVERSARY REUNION 9-12 September 2018 St. John's, NL Program Come join us in St. John s, the City of Legends, to celebrate the 75 th anniversary of the inauguration of the original UNTD program and the 50th anniversary of the successor ROUTP+ programs. Your Local Organizing Committee has developed an exciting, comprehensive program of events that will include a healthy dose of nostalgia, naval related activities, socializing and time for a yarn or two with old friends and colleagues. Some housekeeping notes to make your visit simpler: Unless otherwise noted all transportation to and from events will be provided. There will be two pick-up and drop-off sites. For those staying at the Delta (primary conference hotel, 1-888-793-3582, reference UNTD access code PJD ), JAG, or the Murray Premises Hotel, the pic-up will be at the Delta. For those staying at the Sheraton, Quality, ALT, Luxus, B&Bs (Queen s Rd, Gower St) the pick-up will be the Sheraton. Some times are tentative and subject to change. Updates will be promulgated and provided in your registration kits. The following outlines the Reunion Program: SUNDAY, 9 SEPTEMBER 16:00-20:00 Meet and Greet at the Crow s Nest Officers Club. You will receive your registration kit at the Registration Desk in the Club. The Crow s Nest Officers Club is a National Historic Site. The Club houses a WWII German submarine periscope and a plethora of crests and memorabilia donated over the decades by RCN ships as well as foreign navies and merchant mariners. There will be a cash bar along with a variety of hot and cold hors d oeuvres (grog bits). Because space is limited at the Crow s Nest, the Meet and Greet and Registration are spread over a four hour period in the hope that delegates will arrive and leave UNTDA 75th ANNIVERSARY REUNION - 9-12 September 2018 Program Page 1 of 5

sporadically throughout the period. Please note that accessing the Club requires climbing several outside as well as inside steps. This may be challenging for persons with mobility issues. We will deliver the registration kit if you are unable to visit the Club. You will need to provide your own transportation to and from the Club. There is a variety of good quality, reasonably priced restaurants in close proximity to the Club, Delta (and other hotels) for those wishing to dine following the Meet and Greet.
