Erasmus plus LJSSE Programme in Dornbirn/Austria, BG Dornbirn 24 th - 28 th of february 2019 Day 1: Sunday, 24 February 2019 10:00 Meeting Point: Dornbirn train station. Starting off to Bregenz, the capital of our region Vorarlberg. 10:18 Tour through Bregenz, guided by our students. Fotos of every group are wanted Take a snack with you (host families are informed). Austrian students have prepared the tour 50min. walk with handout and leaflets of Bregenz tourist office. 12:00 13:49 15:25 17:27 or 17:57 Vorarlberg Museum - guided tour (1 hour) Afterwards lunch break (with our snack) in the museum. We will take a train to Lochau to attend the carnival parade. We will take a train to Lindau. A beautiful small town in Germany, on an island in lake of Constance. We will see the harbour and the old town. Ice skating is optional. Return to guest families for dinner. We will arrive in Dornbirn either at 17:49 or 18:19. It depends on our ice-skating activity. Day 2: Monday, 25 February 2019 8:00 Meeting point at school, students show our guests the school. Teachers meeting. 8:30 Official welcome and warm-up, icebreaking activities at the Festsaal, our ceremonial hall in the 3 rd floor. Afterwards Presentations of our guests. Afterwards 13:30 Lunch - buffet with typical food from all countries. We walk together to the city hall for our meeting with the mayor of Dornbirn, Andrea Kaufmann. 15:42 18:20 or 18:50 19:00 We walk together to the train station where we catch the bus number 21 to Schwarzach/Rieger. Russmedia Guided tour at Europe s most progressive multi-niche media enterprise. Daily and weekly newspapers, various online platforms, print, logistics, radio and IT-services are the specialities of this company, with branches in 14 different countries in Europe. Return to school by bus. Social game evening in the ceremony hall of our school with pizza and drinks. 2
Day 3: Tuesday, 26 February 2019 8:30 Meeting point train station Dornbirn for our trip to the ski resort Lech by bus. Bring your winter clothes, gloves, beanies and shoes. 9:30 Rüfikopfbahn we will take the cable car up to the top of mountain Rüfikopf at 2350 m www.ruefikopf.at, take a walk up there and visit the Kästle ski museum, the history of a legendary ski label. We hope for good weather and a wonderful view 12:00 Lunch at Schneggarei we are invited by the owner of this typical restaurant. Lech-Oberlech by cable car. Walk (30min.) to the highest Schottenhof of Europe, where we will have a guided tour by the farmer and we will meet the cute highland cattle. 16:00 17:00 Walk back to the chair lift at the station Bergbahn Lech- Oberlech. Riding down to the valley by sleight (it s also possible to take the cable car). Bühlerhof Oberlech workshop about jobs in tourism. Bus back to Dornbirn. Arrival in Dornbirn. Day 4: Wednesday, 27 February 2019 7:45 meeting point Meeting point at the train station Dornbirn bus station (rectangular square in front of the train station) for our trip to Wolfurt. 8:30 Doppelmayr Wolfurt, guided tour through this company which is the quality- technology- and market leader in the production of cable cars with branches abroad in more than 40 countries around the world. Until today they have built more than 14.900 cable car systems in 95 countries specializing in winter, as well as summer tourism and also for public local traffic. 11:10 bus Nr.37 12:30 15:58 bus Nr.37 16:16 18:00 21:00 Meeting point at the bus station in Wolfurt, to continue our journey. Next stop will be Mellau, a cosy village in the Bregenzer Wald. Lunch at M1 restaurant in Mellau. We will take a cable car to go up to Rossstelle, right in the middle of the ski resort. Activities in the snow with sports teacher Cornelia Dorner. Workshop producing cheese in Andelsbuch. Schaukäsen in Andelsbuch. We will see how cheese is produced and then we will taste it. Joint dinner at restaurant Sonne in Müselbach Return to Dornbirn by bus. Students back to families. Teachers meeting 4
Day 5: Thursday, 28 February 2019 7:42 Meeting point at school. Students will attend a normal school class, together with their host students. 8:35 Dancing class in the gym. Students of the 2nd grade will teach our guests two local dances: Waltz and Zillertaler Hochzeitsmarsch. 10:20 13:00 Afternoon Free time in the school. Coffee is available in the Festsaal, ceremonial hall (3rd floor). Foto marathon/city center impressions in the eyes of our visitors. Teachers meeting. Lunch at our school restaurant. 2 menus are available (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) in the sizes small or large. Free time / preparation for the evening Farewell party in the Festsaal, our ceremonial hall. Austrian dances, ballet with Linda and Chiara, music with Raffaela and Anna, modern dance and music, speeches. Dinner made by the mothers of our students. Alles Walzer everyone is invited to dance. Day 6: Friday, March 1 2019, optional 9:00 Inatura Dornbirn, museum. Nature, humans and technology. Special exhibition we eat the world. 12:30 Lunch at the school restaurant Farewell.
