Overland Oz & GH Meditation Invite you to join us on a unique journey through the Northern Territory Come see this amazing ancient land through a spiritual lens sleeping under the stars. Saturday 8 th June to Sunday 16th June (9 days / 8 nights) Beginning in Alice Springs & finishing in Uluru. Our sacred journey invites you to immerse yourself & to connect to this spiritual land. All the while also reconnecting with yourself on a very deep level. With the intention of leading you to a new level of awakening, inspiration and well-being. To truly connect, we will sleep under the stars in swags and tents with views of the tapestry of stars above, on some of the oldest surfaces on the planet.around 200 million years old. Surrounded by the energy of the oldest civilisation on the planet. Sleeping under a thousand year old river red gum tree on the banks of the oldest unaltered river system in the world, with Mount Sonder in the background is truly life changing. Grounding & connecting ourselves each day through meditation and mindfulness activities. (no prior experience required)
This journey will be led by Scott (Ringer) O Brien & Greg Hawes Scott (Please call him Ringer) has 19 years tour guiding experience. His local knowledge & network through the NT allows for the most amazing every time. His passion is specialising in small group unique experiences. (He is quite a good camp fire singer & guitar player too!) Greg Hawes is meditation / mindfulness coach & retreat leader and has co led many tours through the NT with Ringer over the years which also allows great local knowledge and the ability to attune to this land very deeply through grounding and meditation. Greg has extensive experience in leading spiritual retreats. This synergy of experience allows to rest easily knowing that you will be fully supported both physically and emotionally throughout your journey. It is Greg s belief that retreats / pilgrimages should be a blend of deep connection and incredible fun & joy. Amazing travels, walks and processes during the day, with time also just for you each day. Followed by all hands on deck setting up camp, preparing the evening meal and watching it cook slowly in the camp oven on the fire, while enjoying a glass of wine or two if you wish to. This always seems to always make the perfect day
Allowing connection both to sacred sites but also to yourself for rejuvenation, healing and awakening. All especially for you. Day One: We will greet you at Alice Springs airport. There will be time to explore the town of Alice, the local art and the sights Including Anzac Hill & The old telegraph station. We will do our first meditation to ground ourselves into this land. We will then overnight in a hotel in Alice. Days Two, Three & Four: We will then begin our slow journey westward through the Western McDonnell ranges connecting deeply into this sacred land. Unlike most tours that stop & look for a few minutes, we will mindfully take plenty of time to immerse ourselves & become part of the Mother Earth s natural pace. Setting up camp each night, preparing meals and a campfire.
We will take in Standley Chasm, Ochre pits, Ellery Creek big Hole, Ormiston Gorge, Glen Helen Resort, Tyler s pass, Gnoralla (Gosse s Bluff) Sit with ancient river red gums & billabongs. Enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets around a beautiful campfire with a backdrop of ancient coloured mountain ranges (one of life s great experiences) Days Five & Six: We continue around the red soil Mereenie loop to the Kings Canyon area. Over the next two days we will hike the Kings Canyon rim walk (slowly & mindfully), meditate, see some of the sacred local area and learn about local bush tucker, bush medicines & ways of the Lurritja people. Day 7: This morning we head for one of the planet s most significant spiritual places & solar plexus of Mother Earth Uluru. On the way passing an ancient salt lake and Atila (Mount Conner) which is the little brother of Uluru. We will arrive around lunch time to set up camp. The afternoon will be spent at the base of Uluru, learning about its spiritual dreamtime history and personally experiencing the immense power of the world s largest monolith. Enjoying an Uluru sunset, watching the changing colours on the rock. Day 8: This morning we will visit Kata Tjuta (The Olga s). Walking through the spectacular Valley of the winds. We will meander through the domes of the big brother to Uluru. Walking meditation while the winds literally whisper to you. In the afternoon visiting the cultural centre, listening to some stories and browsing the handcrafts and artwork of the local indigenous artisans. Day 9: An early rise this morning for an Uluru sunrise with a warm cup of coffee. Then back to camp to pack up & head a short distance to Uluru Airport for flights back home. You will certainly arrive back home in a much improved mindset, having visited this ancient world, connecting with it and deeply with yourself. The land cost of this 9 day / 8 night fully guided journey is $2650 per person $650 deposit (non-refundable) will secure your place (limited spaces available). Progressive payments of any amount or payment in full can be made anytime by EFT leading up to departure, with full payment due by May 20th 2019.
