INTRODUCTION This tour information package details a totally Bespoke and uniquely designed tour arranged and Hosted by Catalyst Fitness, Mapua. This is a 7 night Active Women s Escape ideally suited for those busy but mindful women who enjoy sharing new adventures and friendships. The trip is open to a comfortable sized group of 12 The week is solely based in Ubud where we have forged lasting alliances with many amazing people and would like to share our experiences with others. ABOUT US Karyn Holland Personal Trainer / Owner Catalyst Fitness Gym I live in a world that revolves around the love of adventures, challenges, healthy food and feeling fit and strong. Through my work as a Personal trainer and Gym owner, I can inspire others to do the same, and live their lives to their best potential. The driven desire to help others learn began early as a teenager and horse rider, teaching young riders at my local Pony Club. Which lead to more teaching to a growing age range. From Horse Riding to Personal training, Health and Fitness coaching, my satisfaction is immense when I see people pushing boundaries to have amazing experiences and rewards by engaging in activity out of their comfort zones. Fun and friendships are a common bi-product of everything I do! An early initiative was hosting my first Active Women s Weekend in Golden Bay where I realised I could really make a difference to Woman who seek rewarding experiences. While working as a cycling coach in Auckland I ran three more similar weekends, which were so successful I knew I was on the right path. Things have grown substantially with a twice yearly Active Getaway to beautiful Zatori Retreat in Golden Bay. And our latest initiative is an escape to Bali which offers the perfect environment for all the things we wish to encourage, nurture and experience. I am so looking forward to sharing with you the things I love about Bali and in particular the Ubud area. TRAVELLING WITH US TOUR CONTENT The content of our escape is a well-balanced mix of easy to moderate walks within the invigorating mountain scape of Bali s most loved hideaways of Ubud. Tranquil temples, manicured gardens, sparkling swimming pools, delicious healthy food, plus a plethora of skilled massage and spa treatments which are both luxurious and so affordable, you can include them daily! Our program involves a selection of days where organized walks/exercises and yoga are planned. A full day group tour, a very unique cooking experience plus a tutorial in making your own skin products and we don t forget that all important time to yourself. ITINERARY: Active Bali DAY 1 Arrive in Bali late afternoon, and after clearing customs you will be met at the Airport by our driver Nura. He will transfer everyone to our accommodation in Ubud. Once checked in and settled in your room, we have a lovely group dinner organised. DAY 2 6.30 am: Early morning run (or walk) of approx. 5-7km in the rice fields, followed by a short Bodyweight workout. Time for a quick dip in the pool, then breakfast at 8.00am. This morning we head out for a beautiful walk through the rice fields, arriving at The Pyramids of Chi where we will participate in an incredible Sound Session that will truly amaze you. Lunch will be in the beautiful café here before heading back down to Ubud. The walk is approx. 4km each way. We will be back at our accommodation midafternoon which will be your time to relax and enjoy the lovely gardens and pool at our accommodation at your leisure. There will be a Sunset Yin Yoga in the afternoon. Make your own or group plans for dinner tonight. DAY 3 Option 1-6.30 am: Early morning run (or walk) of approx. 5-7km in the rice fields, followed by a short Bodyweight workout. Breakfast 8.30am Option 2-7.30 am: Hatha and Vinayasa, Morning Flow Yoga Breakfast at 10.00am. This morning we take a walk to the Champuhan Ridge. This is approx. 3km to an artist village in the rice fields. Here you can watch the local artists at work (Silversmiths, painters, wood carvers) and have the best Fresh Young Coconut at our favourite place! After our drink stop we head back down and over to the beautiful Penestanen area, to the Yellow Flower Café for lunch where we highly recommend, the food and atmosphere are simply gorgeous. We can wander back to our accommodation after lunch. The rest of the day is yours to relax or take a look around Ubud town and shopping area. Yoga and massages would be extra option this afternoon. We ll take the group out to one of our favourite Warrungs in the rice fields for dinner. DAY 4 An early start today for a wonderfully educational, fun and interesting Balinese cooking trip. We are collected and taken to a vibrant local food market, where we have a guided tour of all the different stalls and enjoy some produce tasting. Then we are off out to an organic garden in rural Bali to understand the various stages of local produce and to pick some of the vegetables to use in our dishes. With our produce we head to an open kitchen and with expert guidance we create several delicious Balinese dishes that we get to prepare and eat. A fabulous day following all the steps of divine food creations! You will be hard pressed not to thoroughly enjoy this. A drive back to our accommodation midafternoon for leisure and relax. You may not feel like eating much this evening, so we will head out for a drink and maybe some infamous Coconut Ice Cream on the way home. DAY 5 Today is Big Hike day. Leaving early before dawn and driving up to the Volcano area where we will hike to the top to watch the sunrise and take in the stunning morning views. It is around a 2 hour hike up. After a light breakfast at the top we will wander down the Volcano and a return to Ubud for lunch. Once you have had time to catch your breath after the Big Hike we will make our way to a Botanical Products Workshop, a relaxed and fun hands on experience where you can explore botanical ingredients native to Bali. You even get to take away the products that you make. Make your own or group plans for dinner tonight.

DAY 6 6.30 am: Early morning run (or walk) of approx. 5-7km in the rice fields, followed by a short Bodyweight workout. Time for a quick dip in the pool, then breakfast at 8.30am. Our lovely driver Nura will pick us up this morning after breakfast and take us on a wonderful sightseeing tour of Bali. Included are a Traditional Temple visit, a Rice Terrace, a Holy Water Temple, Silversmiths and a Butterfly farm. Lunch is included and the tour will take up most of the day but will still allow for some downtime before the evening. Tonight we head out for dinner and an evening of Traditional Fire Dance entertainment. DAY 7 6.30 am: Early morning run (or walk) of approx. 5-7km in the rice fields, followed by a short Bodyweight workout. Time for a quick dip in the pool, then breakfast at 8.30am. After breakfast we are off for a 30min walk, a quick coffee or cold drink before the opportunity to joining an amazing dance gathering. This is a watch or participate session, If this doesn t feel like Your thing don t worry you will enjoy relaxing on the huge deck, listening to the music and absorbing the atmosphere. We will have lunch in the very gorgeous Café at this venue, then head back to our accommodation. You might like to do some last minute shopping this afternoon or take advantage of any spa treatments and more massage. A hosted final group dinner tonight. DAY 8 Option 1-6.30 am: Early morning run (or walk) of approx. 5-7km in the rice fields, followed by a short Bodyweight workout. Breakfast 8.30am Option 2-7.30 am: Hatha and Vinayasa, Morning Flow Yoga Breakfast at 10.00am. Casual travelling and walking clothes, lightweight walking shoes and a good quality raincoat are the core ingredients! Tour members will be given a detailed Packing list at time of booking. AGE AND CAPABILITIES Age is of no consideration provided you are a reasonably active person and you enjoy our very peaceful, unhurried style of small-group travel. The tour is based around Active Wellness: Exercise, rejuvenation, holistic foods, nurturing your body, resting your mind, fueling your soul, connecting with others. The tour is for a maximum of 12 persons. ROOMING Our trip is costed as Twin-share. If you prefer you may opt to have a Single room on your own and pay a single supplement of $210. Please note we only have a few single rooms held so allocated on a first-in-first-served basis. CANCELLATION TERMS Should Catalyst Fitness cancel the trip, for any reason beyond our control, you will receive a full refund of all monies paid. Please note we require a minimum of 8 persons in order to run the tour. Should you need to cancel, your deposit is forfeited. If you have paid in full (after 17 May) a refund will be calculated as follows: Any time after booking : Loss of Deposit Up to full payment date : Loss of Deposit After full payment : 100% of tour price is forfeited If you leave the tour : No refund TRAVEL INSURANCE Comprehensive Travel & Medical Insurance is essential for tours to Indonesia. We would recommend you purchase insurance at the same time you make any payments so we can be completely confident of your cover. You will be required to provide us with details of your Travel Insurance and any medical conditions we should know about at final payment date: Insurer, policy number, contact phone number plus Emergency contact person back home. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS All participants must be in possession of a valid passport (valid for 6 months after the date of your return) and all visas, permits required for your passport type. It is ultimately your responsibility to have the necessary documentation to travel. New Zealand passport holders do not require a visa to enter Bali. If you have another type of passport, please let us know. CONDITIONS Catalyst Fitness will do everything possible to ensure your tour to Bali is a wonderful travelling experience but we do reserve the right to amend the itinerary of any activity due to weather, road and vehicle problems, or other civil circumstances beyond our control. We will also endeavor to take reasonable care of you and your personal property, but we will not be held liable for any accident, personal injury, damage or loss of property, delays or defaults.
