ARKABA DRIVE DIRECTIONS An ancient landscape moulded by millions of years of geological activity, the Flinders Ranges offers some of Australia's most spectacular outback scenery. Arkaba's 60,000 acre private conservancy is home to a wondrous variety of bird and wildlife and a remarkable conservation story. The Flinders Ranges offer one of the most accessible outback destinations in Australia. Assuming no significant stops along the way, Arkaba is just 5 hours drive from Adelaide,4 hours drive from the hills and valleys of the Barossa, 3 hours drive from the Clare Valley wine region and little over an hour from Port Augusta. Arkaba is situated on the southern edge of Wilpena Pound and the Flinders Ranges National Park. The road is on sealed tarmac all the way through and 4WD vehicle is not necessary (unless preferred). It is possible to arrange road transfers (scenic or direct), or hire a car from Adelaide and self-drive to Arkaba. Please phone prior to your departure from Adelaide so that Staff are aware of your estimated arrival time. DIRECT ROUTE VIA PORT AUGUSTA TURN BY TURN DIRECTIONS 300kms 3hr 30mins Take Princes Highway (A1) north out of Adelaide toward Port Augusta 33kms 25mins Before reaching Port Augusta, turn right onto Flinders Ranges Way (B83) towards Stirling North and To Wilmington 66kms Follow Flinders Ranges Way through and continue until you reach the town of Port Augusta 22kms 20mins Turn right onto Flinders Ranges Way (signposted as Wilpena ) and follow this to Arkaba Total 410kms 5hr 10mins After you pass the woolshed turn left at the driveway marked with a white oil drum labeled Arkaba H.S
