(a) The passing conductor shall be rubber insulated leading-conductor, chloroplene-cab-tyre cable, PVC-cabtyre cable, rubber or plastic cable, or the equivalent to or the superior to these. (b) If a multi-core cable is employed as passing conductors suitable measures shall be taken to prevent the flame communications through gaps between the core and the sheath, for example by providing a sufficient length of the sheath or giving an appropriate treatment at the sheath ends corresponding to the cable. (c) The packing shall be of ring-shaped synthetic rubber, etc., and, in principle, conform to the following; The hardness (Spring type specified in JIS) : 5060 (5) The tensile strength : 70 kg/cm 2 or more The elongation : 350 % or more (d) The length of path measured after loading the packing shall be 5 mm or more for the enclosure volume of up to 2 cm 3, 8 mm or more for the volume over 2 cm 3 up to 100 cm 3, and 12 mm or more for the volume over 100cm 3, respectively. (e) The minimum effective compression rate of the packing, which is calculated as follows, shall be 5 %.
