«La Vida es una Fiesta»

Día de la Mercè: 24th September Around 24 September, once again Barcelona will celebrate its Annual Festival. The last blast of summer before the autumn starts, La Mercè is the festival of festivals, where, in just a few days there are hundreds of activities like these: Barcelona Acció Musical (Barcelona Musical Action): to hear new sounds. Barcelona Street Arts: artists performing amongst the public. La Festival of Tradition: human castles, bigheads, giants and all the festive beasts of the city, accompanied by guests of the Mediterranean. Festival of the Sky: acrobatic meeting of jets, balloons, ultra lights, etc. The Fire Festival: all kinds of sparks from the musical fireworks to the Fire Run With a long etcetera of more than 500 activities to everyone s taste. La Mercè is the festival of a thousand faces.

Barcelona, cosmopolitan city Good flight connections Trendy & fashionable Sea and Mountain Catalunya with many options Traditional gastronomy Good Nightlife Offers many options for Incentives Historic Quartier

Arrival in Barcelona and lunch at the restaurant «Xalet» After landing in Barcelona you will be picked up by a tour guide and have lunch in the restaurant Xalet de Montjuic at Montjuic, the nearby mountain of Barcelona. While enjoying a delicious meal you have a fabulous view over the city. The Xalet is famous for its cuisine, combining the Catalan and the international culture. After having lunch you will be brought to the hotel of your choice, where the meeting of the first day takes place.

Option 1: Dinner at the restaurant «La Barceloneta» The restaurant La Barceloneta at Port Vell, the ancient port of Barcelona, is one of the most popular restaurants for spanish guests. Of course, the locals know where they get the best seafood and excellent service. La Barceloneta is directly located at the lively port area and is known for Mediterranean cuisine at its finest. This restaurant offers mainly specialties from the sea, but meat and vegetarian dishes are also served. An impressive wine list and views over the marina promise a relaxing evening with musical accompaniment of the "Habanera".

Option 2 Cocktail Dinner in the venue «La Cúpula» The Mercè Festival reaches its highlight on the 24 th September and is celebrated with fireworks and music. Take the opportunity and experience the festival of the Catalans and an unforgettable evening in the Cúpula, a former bullring, renovated to a special venue at the Plaza España. The roof terrace of the Cúpula offers amazing views over the Plaza España, the illuminated water fountains at the foot of Montjuic, the MNAC (National Museum of Catalunya) and the fireworks of the Mercé. The celebration will be an unforgettable moment on your private terrace and an absolute highlight of the trip.

Day 2

Option 1 Meeting at the «Fundación Miro» The Miró museum is located at the Montjuïc. It is the exhibition space of the most famous works of the artist Joan Miró. The most important contemporary museum offers not only space for art lovers but also the possibility to organize a meeting in an extraordinary location. The auditorium of the museum offers room for about 230 people.

Option 2 Meeting at «Hospital de Sant Pau» The building was build in 1902 by the architect Luis Domenech i Montaner. The modern building is not a hospital anymore, it was converted into a special venue. The hospital Sant Paul is a perfect location to hold your meeting in a building which was declared to world heritage by UNESCO. The beauty of the building in design of Art Nouveau runs through the whole city.

Live al Spanish Fiestas at once in «Poble Español» At Poble Español, or Spanish village, you will find the most important buildings of Spain. Discover the diversity of Spain and you will recognize the differences in the architecture. The activity starts after lunch at Poble Español. The group is divided into the best-known suburbs of Spain: Group Barcelona, Valencia, Pamplona and Seville. Depending on the group different activities are made, which are typical for the region. In Barcelona the Mercè, in Valencia Las Fallas, in Seville La Feria de Sevilla and in Pamplona San Fermín. The participants could wear typical clothes and at each station, a typical building of each Spanish region could be situated. So, you could build human towers in Barcelona and in Valencia do large satirical figures made of cardboard, dance Flamenco in Seville and imitate a bullfight in Pamplona.

Dinner «Teatro Principal» Teatro Principal, that was completely renovated in 2013 is located at the Ramblas and is rented for special private events. After the renovation the classical and modern theatre awakened in a design with new splendor. Enjoy your dinner in a special atmosphere with a performance by Los Vivancos, a performance of a new way to experience flamenco.

Day 3

Enjoy Barcelona in a different way Visit the landmarks of Barcelona in a different way. The group is divided into approximately eight subgroups. 3 different stations are to discover on different transports. 1. Station Architecture / Culture: Visit the Casa Batlló VIP (Gaudi house) 2. Station Art: "Picasso Workshop", each group draws a part of a famous painting, all the parts are put together like a puzzle at the end and form a large Picasso picture, everything is for example in a baroque venue instead we exclusively rent in the Gothic Quarter 3. Station Sagrada Familia This activity is different and original because all participants are on tour with different transports: E-bike, GoCar (small yellow Moto / Car GPS with explanations about the city) and rickshaw (out of a bike rider). With this activity, participants will know the city in a different and original way.

Lunch at the restaurant «Cal Pinxo» The restaurant Cal Pinxo is located at the port Vell of Barcelona. The typical restaurant is known for its fish dishes as well as for its authenticly Spanish dishes such as Paella. In this restaurant you will probably find the most delicious Paella in town. Enjoy a tasty paella in fabulous ambience.

Catamaran Tour in the evening From the restaurant Cal Pinxo it is just a couple minutes walk to the harbor where a catamaran awaits the group. Enjoy the views over the sea and listen to pleasant live jazz music on board.

Gala Dinner at the «Llotja» Llotja is a former fish market, in a neoclassical building of the 18th century. We wish to design the evening under the theme The Circus. La Llotja provides space for elegant circus productions in neoclassical environment. A ringmaster will guide you through the evening and various acts will accompany the spectacle. Already at the aperitif, guests will be welcomed by stils and jugglers. During the meal, several circus performances take place on the stage (similar to Cirque du Soleil). The catering and decoration is also inspired by the circus (for example the table cloths are colored bright and joyful) and the artists are elegantly dressed. Remind the gala evening as a memorable one.

Day 4

Parc Güell Visit the Gaudi Parc. The group will explore the Parc Güell with a German tour guide. You will meet important people of Spain, for example Gaudí, Picasso, Dalí or Christopher Columbus personified in actors and statues. These statues will brighten up the visit and tell you the story out of their perspective.

Goodbye Barcelona! We hope, you enjoyed your trip in Barcelona. Our driver will you at your hotel and transfer you to the airport for your international departure. Adiós and Goodbye!
