Paper Submission Participants wishing to present papers are invited to submit a 6-8 page full paper directly in English of CIGRE format by October 30, 2018, through the online system at www.cigre2019.jp. The submitted full paper will be peer reviewed and may be requested to be modified. The authors must be revised their papers following the comments, and submitted them by February 14, 2019. If the correction is inadequate, the submitted full paper will be rejected. Final papers will be confirmed by February 28, 2019. Presentation formats of these selected papers will be either through oral session or poster, and these will be decided by the Organizing committee. If your paper is accepted, then you must attend either session. Final papers will be included in the conference proceedings, provided the papers are fully registered by at least one author and presented in person at the conference. Technical Tour Visiting to Hokkaido-Honshu HVDC Link (New) of HEPCO and Hokkaido-Honshu HVDC Link (Existing) of EPDC. New Hokkaido - Honshu HVDC Link In order to reinforce and secure power interconnection between Hokkaido and Honshu islands, new 250 kv HVDC Link which is composed of MMC-VSC Converter Stations, overhead line of about 100 km and XLPE cable along Seikan Tunnel (under Tsugaru Strait) of 24 km is under construction. The HVDC Link will be commissioned in March 2019. The transmission capacity is 300 MW. Hokkaido - Honshu HVDC Link (Existing) First HVDC Link in Japan and it is interconnected between Hokkaido and Honshu islands. The HVDC Link which is a bipole composed of +/-250 kv overhead line of 124 km and SCFF cable of 44 km has been operated since 1979. SCFF cable for 1 st pole was replaced to XLPE cable in 2012. The total transmission capacity is 600 MW. Accompanying Persons Tour The accompanying persons tour will take place on the 24th and 25th of April. Participants can experience Japanese culture supported by volunteers of the lai (Remembrance of Love) Girls High School. Iai Girls High School Iai (Remembrance of Love) Girls High School is founded 144 years ago and established 136 years ago. The oldest and historical girls high school in Hokkaido. It is a school of Protestantism. Studying, club activities and volunteering activities are very active in their school. Especially the voluntary work of English translation and guide for foreign visitors by cruises was welcomed the 12th year. It is a student's activity to brush up their English skill by translating and guiding for the tourists and staffs arrived by cruises every year about more than 10 to 20 times. Now it becomes a big contribution to Hakodate city tourism and some of them became professionals like working for the airline companies, cruising companies, and working abroad as cruising staffs after their graduation. In this opportunity to help the accompany person tour, we study and prepare well in advance and we do our best to make your trip in Hakodate memorable. Also, as their local voluntary work, the Iai girls high school Wind Ensemble participate in voluntary concerts actively. On the evening of the 24th April, a brass band will be scheduled by the Iai girls high school Wind Ensemble. 10
