Campers will also begin to work on a group photo collage featuring themselves! Geocaching around the park will get our campers feeling like pirates on a hunt for ship wrecks and buried treasure! It s the perfect adventure to explore the park. Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches. After taking a lunch break we campers will walk down the trail to Lakeland Pool where they will have the opportunity to go swimming. Confederation Park is a 93 hectare conservation area located in Hamilton on the southern shores of Lake Ontario featuring the 4.3km long Hamilton Beach Trail. Don t forget to bring a nut free lunch, swimsuit & towel, sunscreen, a hat, a water bottle and comfortable footwear Bird Feeders (July 6) The weather is nice and the animals are out and are hungry. We re going to make our very own bird feeders & watch who we attract! Wild Water Works (July 7) 585 Van Wagners Beach Rd, Hamilton http://wild-waterworks.com/ We thought we d kick off our summer with a splash! Wild Water Works is the largest water park in Hamilton, complete with four body slides, two tube slides, splash pads, a lazy river, and one of Canada s largest outdoor wave pools! Campers will enjoy lunch in the shaded picnic areas before returning to the water for more swimming in the afternoon. Campers will be departing the centre at 9am and returning at approximately 5pm. Artasia (July 8)

Week 2: Mini Olympics at Gourley Park (July 11) All summer long we will be competing against another camp in a series of Olympic Games! Gourley Park is a neighbourhood park, located at 142 Duncairn Crescent with an existing woodlot, new play structures, a spray pad, basketball court, shelter, pathways, and tennis courts. Make sure you wear your running shoes because we are spending the day playing all of our favourite sport games! Don t forget to bring a nut free lunch, swimsuit & towel sunscreen, a hat, a water bottle and comfortable footwear Bronte Creek (July 12) 1219 Burloak Drive, Oakville https://www.ontarioparks.com/park/brontecreek What a better way to explore Bronte Creek s natural wildlife than walking the trails. Make sure to wear running shoes as our campers will be hitting the trails in search of wildlife! In the morning they will go on a hike before stopping for lunch in a picnic area. In the afternoon campers will have the opportunity to go swimming in the 1.8 acre gradual entry pool. Bronte Creek Provincial Park is located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, and is part of the Ontario Parks system. The 6.4-square-kilometre park is located at the western edge of Oakville, bordering on Burlington. Wildflower Sun Catchers (July 13) Flowers, leaves, even grass! We are taking the items we found on Tuesday s scavenger hunt and turning them into beautiful sun catchers. Brantford Twin Valley Zoo (July 14) 84 Langford Church Rd, Brantford http://twinvalleyzoo.com/ Lions, and tigers, and bears (oh my!) are only some of the amazing animals we ll get to see at the Brantford Twin Valley Zoo. Other animals include lemurs, flamingos, camels, and kangaroos. There are more animals than you can shake a stick at (not that we recommend shaking a stick at the alligators). Campers will visit the animals, enjoy lunch in the picnic area, and take a stroll on a short nature trail (less than 1km long) in the 5 acres of woodland. Built on 25 beautiful acres in Brant County, Brantford Twin Valley Zoo is a great place to observe a collection of native and exotic animals maintained in natural surroundings.

Artasia (July 15) Every Friday we will enjoy a visit by a team member from Culture for Kids in the Arts delivering the Artasia program, a multi-faceted and literacy that engages children and youth in visual arts workshops and a final public art exhibition. The overarching goal is to provide a voice to children and their view of their city, their home- realizing the potential through the eyes of a child. The project challenges the children to look at their community with both a critical and inspirational eye. Be creative and have fun building your own sculpture on the beach all morning long. After taking a lunch break we campers will walk down the trail to Lakeland Pool where they will have the opportunity to go swimming. With a variety of water attractions including a spray pad, swimming pool, waterslide, and a lazy river, and activities including mini putt and volleyball courts please ensure that campers pack running shoes as well as their bathing suit. Throughout all this excitement we will be enjoying our lunch in the shaded picnic areas. Dundas Driving Park is located at 71 Cross St and is a popular sports park with several softball fields, and slides, and a wading pool with spray pad, Don t forget to bring a nut free lunch, swimsuit & towel sunscreen, a hat, a water bottle and comfortable footwear Bronte Creek (July 26) 1219 Burloak Drive, Oakville http://www.brontecreek.org Pigs, peacocks & cows! Campers will have the opportunity to get up close & personal with these animals and to step back in time and tour a local fruit farmer s house from the turn of the century. In the morning they will visit the Spruce Lane Farmhouse to interact with the animals before stopping for lunch in a picnic area. In the afternoon campers will have the opportunity to go swimming in the 1.8 acre gradual entry pool. Bronte Creek Provincial Park is

Adventure Village (July 28) 580 Van Wagners Beach Rd, Hamilton http://www.adventure-village.com/ Adventure Village has possibly one of the most fitting names on the planet, with a wide variety of fun activities and attractions to play around in. Pair this exciting amusement park with the lakefront beach of Confederation Park, and you have yourself a recipe for one of our best trip this summer. Campers will spend the day rotating through activities such as mini putt, bumper cars, rock climbing and gem stone mining. We will eat lunch in the shaded picnic area and spend some time on the beach building castles, skipping rocks in the water or just searching for treasures. Artasia (July 29)

Week 5: Stat Holiday Closed (August 1) Confederation Park (August 4) 585 Van Wagners Beach Rd, Hamilton http://conservationhamilton.ca/conservation-areas- 2/confederation-park/ It s Superhero Day. Come dressed as your favourite Superhero or create your own. Campers will have the opportunity to showcase their special powers throughout various gross motor games. After taking a lunch break we campers will walk down the trail to Lakeland Pool where they will have the opportunity to go swimming. Confederation Park is a 93 hectare conservation area located in Hamilton on the southern shores of Lake Ontario featuring the 4.3km long Hamilton Beach Trail. Scavenger Hunt (August 3) We ve gotten to know our neighbourhood over the summer so today we are going on a scavenger hunt to see what we can find! Wild Water Works (August 4) 585 Van Wagners Beach Rd, Hamilton http://wild-waterworks.com/ We re baaaaaack! Wild Water Works is always one of the highlights of our summer and the campers favourite, so we always make two trips. It s the same deal as the first time, only this time, we ll know exactly what water slides are the best! After lunch, campers will have the opportunity to go swimming in the 1.8 acre gradual entry pool. Bronte Creek Provincial Park is located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, and is part of the Ontario Parks system. The 6.4-square-kilometre park is located at the western edge of Oakville, bordering on Burlington. Croc-A-doodle (August 10) Doodle http://crockadoodle.com/dundas/

Location: 101 Osler Drive, Dundas, Ont. The children will enjoy painting piece of pottery, plan their design and colour palette to get started on a masterpiece. Relax, have fun and doodle away! Leave your pottery with them to be professionally glazed & kiln-fired, and we will pick it up for you. Kelso Conservation Area (August 11) 5234 Kelso Rd, Milton http://www.conservationhalton.ca/kelso Situated on the edge of the Niagara Escarpment, a trip to Kelso Conservation Area is not complete without some swimming and playing on the beaches. Throughout the course of the day campers will have the opportunity to swim at the lifeguard supervised beach, play a game or two of volleyball, enjoy their lunch in a shaded picnic area and hike on part of their 22km of trails. Artasia (August 12) Week 7: Dundas Driving Park (August 15) https://www.hamilton.ca/parks-recreation/parks-trails-and-beaches/dundas-driving-park Location:Alma Street Dundas, Ont.

Lots of fun and exciting things to do at our local park. Your child/children are sure to have a blast. From Baseball Diamonds to, a splash pad and waiting pool, trails and lots of room for games and fun activities. The children will enjoy lots of outings at this spacious community park. In the morning our campers will explore a portion of the 22km of trails the park has to offer to find natural items that can be combined into one large mural expressing the children s creativity and imagination. After taking a lunch break we campers will walk down the trail to Lakeland Pool where they will have the opportunity to go swimming. Confederation Park is a 93 hectare conservation area located in Hamilton on the southern shores of Lake Ontario featuring the 4.3km long Hamilton Beach Trail. Clay Sculptures in the Garden (August 17) Today we are channeling our inner artists to spend time working with clay in the garden. Bingemans Fun Park (August 18) 425 Bingemans Centre Drive, Kitchener www. http://bingemans.com/ http://bingemans.com/ Half giant indoor playground, and half outdoor water park, Bingeman s is basically the most fun place on the planet. The waterpark includes, waterslides, a gradual entry wave pool, and a giant splash area. The huge, multi-layered play structure is made up of winding tunnels, ladders, and a ball pit or two, and has been a highlight of our summer for many years! Artasia (August 19)

Week 8: Mini Olympics at Dundas Driving Park (August 22) All summer long we will be competing against another camp in a series of Olympic Games! Camper s will divide up into teams and compete in various Survivor themed activities. During the morning campers will compete in a series of Survivor style gross motor games and puzzles. After lunch, campers will have the opportunity to go swimming in the 1.8 acre gradual entry pool. Sketching in the Nature Park (August 24) Location: King St.W, Dundas, Ont We are walking to the Nature Park with our pencils and sketch books to see what kind of wildlife and nature things we can capture on paper. Royal Botanical Gardens (August 25) 680 Plains Rd W, Burlington https://www.rbg.ca/

Canada s largest Botanical Garden features almost 2500 acres of nature sanctuary. We ll see some of the prettiest flowers from around the world, as well as some amazing and interesting critters. We ll also learn some useful gardening tips and inspire our campers to connect with their green thumbs. Children will have the opportunity to explore the Hendrie Valley trail to feed chickadees and chipmunks. We will also explore the various gardens an play on the Natural Playground. Artasia (August 26) Week 9: Dundas Driving Park (August 29) https://www.hamilton.ca/parks-recreation/parks-trails-and-beaches/dundas-driving-park Location:Alma Street Dundas, Ont. Lots of fun and exciting things to do at our local park. Your child/children are sure to have a blast. African Lion Safari (August 30) 1386 Cooper Road, Hamilton

How often do you get to see wild animals from the African Savannah up close and personal? The African Lion Safari will put us faceto-face with some of the most fascinating and amazing animals in the world, including elephants, zebras, baboons, and, of course, lions! Campers will ride through the large game reserve in the Safari Tour Bus, take a ride on the scenic railway as well as the African Queen Boat ride. After lunch campers have the opportunity to visit Mismumu Bay, an interactive water play zone, complete with slides and plenty of splashing.
