He answers a classified ad entitled Departures thinking it is an ad for a travel agency only to find that the job is for a Nokanshi or encoffineer, a funeral professional. This summer, enjoy the feature exhibit, Chinese Legacies, depicting the life and contributions of the Chinese labourers during the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway s transcontinental line in the 1880s.
