January 2019 Traveling in the Past and Present Tallahassee Region Antique Automobile Club of America TALLAHASSEE REGION, AACA MEETING AGENDA 11/04/2018 Pumphrey Farm Pledge to the Flag: Everyone Welcome: Guests Sherrie Sloan and the family of Ariana Whitt (father Greg, mother Tarri, and Tarri s sister Ansley were introduced and welcomed. Members were reminded to pay their 2019 dues ($25) to John Schanbacher. Sincere and warm thanks were offered to Pam and Don Pumphrey for their generosity in allowing the Club to use their farm for its annual chili meeting and auction. Announcements & Reports: It is with great pleasure that the Club announces its officers for 2019: President, Don Romaine; Vice President, Craig McCollum; Treasurer, Vic Hajos; and Secretary, John Schanbacher with the help of Marianne Trussell. As recently voted by the board, officers will be reimbursed for their National membership dues. Members were asked to cast their ballot for Member of the Year for 2018. The votes were counted and the 2018 Member of the Year is JOHN SCHAN- BACHER. Congratulations! Committee Reports: Sunshine: Pam Pumphrey had no new sunshine announcements, but wanted everyone to know that some members want to keep things to themselves and out of respect for their privacy wanted everyone to remember our club family in our prayers. Treasurer's Report: Norm Madsen reported that not much had changed financially since last month. Details may be obtained from Norm. The Club will work diligently to meet that goal in 2019. Show Committee: Pam Pumphrey announced that the Car Show for Honor Flight will be held on March 23. Marianne Trussell will contact the scheduling person regarding use of the Department of Transportation (DOT) parking lot where the show has been held the past few years. Pam also announced and had registration forms available for the Perdue Cars for Care Third Annual Car Show that will be held at the DOT parking lot on Saturday, December 1 from 10-3. All proceeds will go to benefit the Big Bend

Please use the business cards we have available and the information sheet that was sent to the members. It should be given out at other shows and when encountering potential members. Clothing Don and Chantel Romaine continue to have the lead on this. Coming Events: Veterans Day Parade, Monday, November 12. Members will need to register to participate in parade. To date only two members indicated participation. John Schanbacher indicated he will re-send the information regarding registration. Craig McCollum announced that he and Don Romaine will be participating in the Monticello Veterans Day Parade. Moultrie show and swap meet. November 16, 17, and 18, 2018. Breakfast at the Cracker Barrel the Friday after each monthly meeting, 8:30 AM. Quincy Gulf Station Every Friday at Noon Cars and Coffee Third Saturday of each month 8 to 10:30 am at Bannerman Crossing parking lot. Old Business: New Business: Christmas Party planning. Venue Don Romaine, Jack Hanbury, and Jack Hanbury will go to Lively Technical School to discuss and plan this event at their dining room. We plan on having the party on December 11, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Food Lively will provide the meal this year. Members will pay $10 per person and any additional costs will be assumed by the Club. Decorations (tree), centerpieces, etc., will be needed as in years past. The team will check with Lively to see if they will have any decorations in the dining room that can be used. Craig McCollum announced that on the second Saturday of each month there will be a car show at the Car Quest location in Monticello in the Winn Dixie shopping center. He also talked about the Bar B Que Festival Car Show held in Monticello on Saturday, November 3. Marianne Trussell offered a heartfelt thank you to everyone for their generosity in providing toys and gift cards for the Guardian ad Litem Foundation for the Second Circuit Holiday Wish Drive to benefit kids in foster care through the guardian ad litem program in the six counties under the jurisdiction of the Second Circuit.
