Founded in 2004 as the Reno Air Racing Foundation, Pathways to Aviation is a Reno-based, 501c3 non-profit organization which serves as the engine to leverage educational programs, historical preservation, and industry partnerships to facilitate educational success, labor force growth, and economic vitality throughout the state of Nevada.

Aviation s Next Generation Career & Industry Tent The Next Generation tent will serve as the main Pathways to Aviation tent, where all students and patrons will visit as they enter the Aviation Learning Center. The new addition to the Aviation Learning Center will engage aviation educators and executives with future aviation specialists of all ages, who are curious or interested in pursuing aviation-related careers. The tent will Serve as the hub of all Aviation Learning Center activity. Post schedules of classes, workshops, events, and activities. Post air race results and schedules. Host meetings and feature guest speaker presentations. Conduct aviation career workshops. Feature high schools, which offer aviation-related programs. Feature colleges, which offer aviation-related courses and degrees. Feature businesses, which offer job shadowing, internship, part-time, and full-time opportunities. Foster networking amongst aviation leaders. Exhibitor Details The layout of the 30 x80 tent will maximize the experience for visitors and exhibitors. Each exhibitor will have access to tables, chairs, and power. Exhibitors are welcomed and encouraged to bring displays, materials, and monitors. The tent will also feature no less than 75 chairs, which can be arranged in any format for the classes, workshops, etc. There s no cost to exhibit in the tent. Exhibitors will receive complimentary admissions wristbands and, if possible, parking passes. Exhibitors may exhibit one day or the entire week (five days). Setup must be completed by each morning. The tent will be relatively secure with overnight RARA security located in or near the area. Register Today! Volunteer Opportunities The planning and success of the Aviation Learning Center is dependent upon volunteers. They re the lifeblood of Pathways to Aviation and integral to the seeding of aviation s next generation. There are several ways volunteers can help make the Aviation Learning Center an incredible experience for all. Planning Team Plan all elements of the Aviation Learning Center. Classroom and Class Team Plan each class and workshop in the classroom/main tents. Layout and Open Space Team Orchestrate and manage the layout, activities, and displays in the Center. Careers and Industry Team Help identify and recruit, meet and work with organizations to setup, connect, and conduct business. Marketing and Promotion Promote the event whenever and however signage, social media, press releases, articles, class schedules, clothing, etc. Instructors and Facilitators Willing to facilitate workshops, teach classes, and/or assist with instruction. Field Trip Greeters First point of contact for teachers and classes. Direct to first/next activity. Troubleshoot. Traffic Coordinate parking, bus loading/unloading, wristbands, help unload exhibits, man the golf cart. Set and Strike Make sure tents are arranged for classes and workshops each day and session. Tour Guides Escort teachers and classes to classes, activities, and areas. Tent Ambassadors Serve as point of contact for instructors, facilitators, and speakers. Assist with needs. Volunteer Details Outside of Planning Team, you may work as few or many days and hours as you wish; Other duties may be assigned, roles created; Complimentary admission ticket; Must register and schedule in advance.
