Daily Itinerary 25 26 27 28 ARRIVAL IN NAPLES Arrive in Naples. You will meet your guide and receive a welcome cocktail. The guide will present the tour. Dinner included. CAPRI Spend the day in Capri where you will tour Villa San Michele and the Gardens of Augustus. HERCULANEUM & POMPEII We will spend the day exploring the ruins of Herculaneum and Pompeii. NAPLES HISTORIC CITY CENTER In the morning we will explore the Catacombs of San Gennaro, the Fontanelle Cemetery, and the Basilica of Santa Maria della Sanità. After lunch we will visit Naples' historic city center where we will see the Basilica of Santa Chiara, the Naples Cathedral, and the artisinal shops on Via San Gregorio Armeno.
Daily Itinerary 29 30 31 June 1 SORRENTO, POSITANO & AMALFI We will visit Sorrento and Positano where you are free to wander the city. We will then travel to Amalfi by motorboat where we will explore the dramatic cliffs and coastal scenery. PAESTRUM & SALERNO In the morning we will visit Paestum and tour the ruins and museum. We will eat lunch on a farm which will include delicious buffalo products and wines. The afternoon will be spent exploring the wine cellar and learning about the wine making process. CASERTA ROYAL PALACE We will spend the morning in Caserta where we will visit the majestic Royal Palace and gardens. In the afternoon you will have free time to explore Naples & the surrounding area. DEPARTURE FROM NAPLES Our trip comes to an end. Breakfast included.
Trip Specifics The cost of this eight (8) day, seven (7) night trip to Amalfi is $1,800 per person double occupancy and $2,050 per person single occupancy. To reserve a spot on the trip, you must make a non-refundable $300 deposit per person by February 1, 2019 The trip begins on Saturday, 25, 2019 and ends on Saturday, June 1, 2018. Save $100 if you make your final payment by March 15, 2019. Final payment is due by April 15, 2019. The trip cost includes: Bus tour though Campania region Native tour leader and local guides for attractions Accommodation in 4 star hotels (Announced 1 week prior to the trip) Transportation to and from the Naples Airport for those who arrive on 25 and depart on June 1. All meals (wine and water included!) A buffalo product tasting and vineyard tour in Salerno An Italian language class at the AICC (Traveler s Class Spring 2019). Additional nights in the same hotels pre- and post-tour at a discounted rate. The trip cost does NOT include: Airfare and tickets to local attractions as well as local and touristic taxes at hotels (Total cost about $100 pp).
