Stop in the medieval town of Bassano del Grappa to visit the grappa museum, the famous liqueur produced here and then the charming town of Asolo the city of a hundred horizons. Continue riding through the Prosecco region with its vineyard covered hills till Follina, the next landmark, lying at the foothills of the Dolomite Mountains. Following the Prosecco Route from winery to winery you reach Conegliano first and then the back onto the plain dotted with magnificent Venetian Villas like the one you stay at, in Gorgo al Monticano. Route Day 1 Arrival in Treviso Arrive at your hotel in Treviso and take stroll through the streets of this old charming town. The magnificent city walls, still intact, will be the perfect backdrop for a wonderful beginning of your holidays. Relax with a glass of wine in a bar in the nice Piazza dei Signori, Treviso s main square, just few steps from your hotel. You will notice cycling is very popular in Treviso, a good opportunity to make a first ride on your rental bike.
Day 2 Ride from Treviso to Asolo (42.6 km) After breakfast you bike through the old town centre and along the city wall; then follow a scenic route toward the North-West. Narrow and winding roads through cultivated fields will lead you to Montebelluna, a quaint town situated on the edge of the Montello nature reserve. Cycle along the quiet countryside to the town of Asolo and see the first Palladian villas along the route. A final 2 km climb takes you up to Asolo; one of the Italy s most beautiful hamlets and nicknamed City of a hundred horizons. Challenge: 3 hours, 42.6 km, 602m ascent, 377m descent Day 3 Asolo roundtrip Bassano del Grappa loop via Mussolente (42.5 km) Today you cycle on countryside roads to the town of Bassano del Grappa, worldwide renowned for the alcoholrich grappa ; strong liquor made by distilling the skins, pulp, seeds, and stems left over from winemaking after pressing the grapes. Worth a visit is also the wooden Alpini Bridge over the Brenta River, and the many cosy town squares. After a lunch break, ride on quiet back roads in he planes passing through small villages while you see the famous Monte Grappa; theatre of many battles in the First World War, looming impressively over you. A final ascent leads you back to the hotel. Challenge: 3 hours, 42.5 km, 633m ascent, 668m descent Day 4 Ride from Asolo to Pedeguarda / Follina (34 km) After breakfast the ride starts with a nice descent down the hill then you continue riding on one of the most beautiful roads in the whole region. The breathtaking panorama of the snow-covered Alps along the way will be an image you will not forget. After crossing the Piave River, the landscape will change, and the Prosecco vineyards on steeply hills will assume the leading role. Today s terrain is a lot hillier; although the ascents are never very long, at times they can steep. The panoramas you will encounter make all your efforts worthwhile. Challenge: 3 hours, 34 km, 481m ascent, 669m descent Day 5 Pedeguarda loop Via Vittorio Veneto (46.7 km) An exciting and challenging ride awaits you today. After a steep climb you will pass through the tiny villages of Tarzo and Rolle situated along the Prosecco Route. Ride downhill to the Revine Lake; then visit the historic town of Vittorio Veneto, made of two hearts. A gentle climb will lead you out of the town; on extremely scenic roads passing through artistic vineyards you return to Pedeguarda. Challenge: 3.5 hours, 46.7 km, 741m ascent, 744m descent Day 6 Ride from Pedeguarda to Gorgo al Monticano (51.2 km) Today s ride starts with a route that once more passes through the breath-taking hills of the Prosecco Region. Reach Conegliano, a historic town founded in the XII century. As you enter the town, you will be amazed by the magnificence of the Castle which towers over the whole territory. Ride on through the planes and reach Oderzo with its beautiful Piazza Grande; then continue to arrive at the small village of Gorgo al Monticano. Challenge: 4 hours, 51.2 km, 473m ascent, 625m descent Day 7 Arrivederci Gorgo Monticano! The trip and our services end after breakfast, unless you have booked a transfer to the airport or to the train station, or other supplementary services.

Furnished in an elegant and welcoming style even if dated, it offers non-soundproof rooms but with TV, air conditioning, private bathroom, free Wi-Fi. Breakfast is ok www.agriturismolabella.it Villa Revedin (Gorgo Al Monticano) The Tree Villa Revendin is in Gorgo al Monticano in an ancient private park of the seventeenth century. At 10-minute drive from Oderzo and 40 from Treviso, Villa Revedin includes a particularly popular restaurant, common rooms with a good free Wi-Fi and a terrace that can be used during the hot season. Rooms, furnished in an elegant classic but slightly dated, TV, air conditioning and in the case of some rooms overlooking the surrounding park. The closest airport is Treviso airport (TSF), but you can also fly to Venice (VCE) airport.
Fron Treviso (TFS), you can reach the centre by bus. From Venezia airport (VCE), you can directly reach Treviso by bus. As an alternative, you can reach Treviso by train from Venezia Porta Nuova train station (connected to the airport by bus). On departure, the MOM Bus Company connects Gorgo al Monticano to Treviso. For the up-to-date bus timetables check www.mobilitadimarca.it. As an alternative, you can reach both Treviso and Venezia stations by direct train, and then take a a bus to the airport. Train schedules available on www.trenitalia.com. If you travel by car, we suggest that you do not leave your car in Treviso as parking is expensive and hard to find. We suggest that you park at the accommodation in Gorgo al Monticano (not guarded) and travel by train to Treviso. Please, leave the keys at the reception just in case they need to move the car. From Gorgo al Monticano take the train to Treviso.
