From Lukla, we start our trek to Phakding and the next day we head towards Namche Bazaar, the biggest Sherpa village of the area. Here we spent a day for acclimatization here to get used to the high altitude. Filled with the Sherpa culture, the Sherpa Museum is a place to visit. We can also hike up towards Khumjung village from where we can see extraordinary panoramic views of the Himalayas. Furthermore, this amazing trek we head for the ancient Tengboche Monastery in Tengboche. The Monastery is Peaceful and Harmonious. Best Time for the trek to Everest Base Camp The best time for Everest Base Camp Trek is autumn (September, October, and November) and spring (March, April, and May). These two seasons the weather is sunny and warm and high possibility to see the clear mountain with your fresh eyes. In high altitude, nights are clod in all season. In winter (December, January, and February) cold is the big issue for a trekker. Other parts are quite good. EBC Trek in summer (June, July, and August) or monsoon will be affected by rain; but this season trekking is best for a botanist. Everest Trekking routes are crowded in the autumn and summer; but during winter and summer, the trekking routes are not packed. Important Note: We recommend you to book some additional days on your vacation to Nepal. As we take a domestic flight to Lukla, delays are not uncommon. This has to do with the weather situation, and so you can prepare for any delays. As you arrive earlier it will provide you with some extra time. This can be spending to buy or rent essential trekking equipment if necessary. Furthermore, upon your return from Lukla to KTM delays are also not uncommon. As so, there won t be any problem to reach back in time for your departing flight out of Nepal. Peregrine Treks and Expedition s team is always here for you if any other info is required. 7
