DAY 02: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INKAS PISAQ OLLANTAYTAMBO AGUAS CALIENTES This tour is a combination of the famous Sacred Valley Tour and the Classic Train tour to Machupicchu, so for those who has short time to experience these sights of these places, it is a must!! Sightseeing and short walks guided tour, we do depart our tours before other groups so we avoid the crowds visiting same sites, but overall we tried to show you places and things that are not commonly seen. Enjoy the beauty to the Andes, high mountains at the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas, see the farming terraces, llamas, alpacas and see the traditional Market in Pisac now run every single day, guided tour in the Inca town of Pisac (2900m/9678ft) at the top of the mountain, then a visit to Ollantaytambo(2650m/8694ft), before we stop at Urubamba the biggest town on the valley for a short typical lunch, late at the afternoon we take a tourist train for 1 and a half hours to the nice town of Aguas Calientes (2000m/6561ft) the nearest place to Machupicchu, our staff will wait for you at the train station to take you just 4 minutes to the hotel. Approximately time of the tour: 7 hours Train travel time: 1 ½ hour DAY 02: MACHUPICCHU OLLANTAYTAMBO CUSCO We will leave our hotel after breakfast at 5:30 am and head for Machu Picchu (2400m/7874f) by tourist bus. We will arrive at the citadel around 6 :00am. After a guided tour around the archeological site, including information about life and culture of the Incas, you will have enough time to enjoy Machu Picchu on your own.
We will leave Aguas Calientes by train and them bus to Cusco. Until then, you will have time to have lunch in one of the nice restaurants. Moreover, you can visit the hot springs in Aguas Calientes to relax a bit. Approximately time of the tour: 2 hours Train Travel time: 1 ½ hours Bus Travel time: 1 ½ hours DAY 04: THE MAGICAL RAINBOW MOUNTAIN (Full Day Tour) We will pick you up between 04:30 hrs. 05:00 hrs. Then we are going to set out on a drive through the South Valley. The drive takes around 3 hours to get CUSIPATA community where we are going to stop for breakfast. After that we are going to drive you 20 minutes more to the starting point (4,750 m / 15583ft.), where we are going to start with the trekking of 2 hours approx. long to the rainbow mountain (most of the way is going up). In the way up we are going to be able to enjoy amazing landscapes of herds of alpacas and llamas, the Ausangate Mountain, many red mountains and traditional local houses. When we finally reach our goal the Rainbow Mountains (5,020 m / 16,466 ft.), you will have time to explore the area and take pictures. We will spend approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour (depend of your trekking speed and weather conditions).after the amazing view of the landscapes on the top we are going to down to the beginning of our trekking point, that take 2 hours approx. (Cusipata community) where we have lunch. Then you are going to be drive to Cusco, and drop you at Regosijos square. DAY 05: THE HUMANTAY LAKE TOUR (Full Day Tour) We start in the morning to pick you up from your hotel between 4:30am to 5.00am them we drive for 2 hour approx. To Mollepata (2900masl) located at the North of Cusco region where we are going to have a delicious breakfast, later We continue in the car for 1hour to Soraypampa(3900masl) where we are going to GET READY for the trek,them We start our hike to Humanatay lake (4200masl) We ascend 300mt uphill it is going to take us 1 hour approx, Here we are going to enjoy the view of the Humantay Glaciar (5450masl), located in the Vilcabamba range in the Andes, enjoying this lake after we are going to back to Soraypampa where we are going to explore the area we are going to walk to see the Salkantay trail and Salkantay Mountain (6251masl) the second highest mountain in Cusco Region. Later we are going to have a buffet luch, them our car is going to take back to Cusco to the Main Plaza.
IMPORTANT : 1. Visit to Huayna Picchu: For Huayna Picchu mountain requires to be booked long time in advance however we charge additional $ 50.00 and then we ll guarantee your entrance for Huayna Picchu as well (This new State law began since the 18th of July, 2011). 2. To visit Cusco and the Sacred Valley, you must have a tourist ticket (BTG), which gives you access to tourist sites. This ticket, to buy on the spot, costs 130 soles (52 USD). It includes the visit of Cusco as well as the Sacred Valley and the ruins around Cusco. 1. This BTG does not include the entrance to the Cathedral and the Koricancha, which costs respectively 25 and 10 soles. 2. To go on the VINICUNCA mountain and Humantay lake, you must be in good physical condition, and we recommend a preliminary 3 days acclimatization stage, for your body to react better during the trek, as we will be in hiking up to high passes at altitudes of about 5,100 meters, and it also is important to drink plenty of Water during the trek. 3.
