Some areas may require complete pavement removal and replacement and if an overlay is required, consideration should be given to a stress relief layer to prevent /retard reflective cracking. This runway is in very poor condition. Due to age and weather, severe alligator cracking has resulted in partial subbase deteriorization at the approach end of runway 14. This area has a load bearing capacity of 55, lbs. However, it is currently utilized by aircraft weighing up to 75, lbs. on a daily basis. In recent pavement evaluations, this runway was found to have many weak spots.
