Tina Ruff or an event staff member will be on site to let you know where you can park. If you are traveling by bus, your driver may load and unload outside of gate 10 and then will need to stage the bus at our Central Receiving area on campus. Central Receiving is located at the top of Stadium Drive right above Mackay Stadium. A campus map appears on page 7. Mackay Stadium is located on the map in D3 and Central Receiving is located on the map in C2. Practices: Please e-mail Associate Head Coach, Kirk Nelson at knelson@unr.edu to arrange practice times and complete page 7 and return to Tina Ruff no later than 2 weeks prior to your match vs. Nevada. Countdown to Match: A countdown to match, per Mountain West Rules, will be posted in your locker room on the day of your competition vs. Nevada. If you would like a countdown to match prior to your arrival, please contact Tina Ruff at rufft@unr.edu. Locker Room Accommodations: The visiting team locker room is located inside of the Cashell Field House on the south end of Mackay Stadium. Visiting teams will be provided with towels and use of the showers. Please e-mail Tina Ruff if you have any other questions at rufft@unr.edu. Video Exchange: Approximately 15-20 minutes after the final whistle, a representative from Nevada will provide your team with a DVD of the match. We ask that you have a representative available to receive the video prior to your departure. Player Pass List The ticket office will accept visiting team s player pass list up to 1hr prior to contest. The list will need to be turned in to the ticket office. Driving Directions To Mackay Stadium From Reno-Tahoe International Airport: Take 395 North to I-80 West (exit #68 toward Reno/Sacramento). Exit at Virginia Street (exit #13). Turn right (north) on Virginia Street and drive approximately 1.5 miles. Drive past the large round building (Lawlor Events Center). Keep driving north until you come to 17 th Street. Turn right onto 17 th street. Stay on 17 th street until you come to the 4-way stop at Stadium Drive. Turn right and head south until you get to gate 10 (the rolling gate), which is located on the south east corner of Mackay Stadium. See Campus Map on Page 7 for locations on campus. Entertainment: Circus Circus Hotel & Casino Circus Circus has free circus acts every hour of the day. The game room features carnival games and an arcade with the latest video games. Lake Tahoe Lake Tahoe is considered to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range; home of some of the world's top ski resorts. The North Shore is known for its outdoor atmosphere and fantastic eateries, while the South Shore is known for the casino nightlife. Lake Tahoe can best be seen by taking a lake cruise on one of the lake's several tour boats. The old mining town has been preserved from its golden days and now is a historic landmark. There are many shops and museums lining the wooden sidewalks of this historic mining town. Wild Island Wild Island has it all- mini-golf, Indy car races, an arcade, and the coolest water park on a hot day. Next door to a roller-skate rink, it is your one stop for fun.
